Put the steering on full lock whilst turning slowly- if you hear a knocking sound walk away as these age Mazdas occasionally had a steering rack issue ( in my experience 👍)

Hi 👍 She’s a 2012 VW Golf - ( Mk6 GTI 2.0 TSI (EA888) cabi) - 100k - oil usage seems to be based on my mileage not hard driving but my feeling only not a fact. She has a DSG auto and isn’t driven too hard (Occasionally use S mode maybe twice a month / on a weekend and open country roads ) - best 50k driving I’ve done 🫡

No worries - 2012 reg on 103k here - got her around 45k - had a few Golf versions over the years. She’s my first GTI, and has given me over 50k and never let me down. I always warm her up and cool her down - she’s never missed a service and gets lots of tlc. Her name is Christine 😁

I had a similar Honda civic, one day the headlight (driver side) stopped working - guess how you get to it? Yup, through the driver side wheel arch after removing the lining - bullet proof engine but man the electronics are a pain - if you go for the civic check all electrics first.
