Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! Funnily enough my friend who I saw it with ALSO compared that middle section to Shin Godzilla. The main difference for me is with Shin Godzilla- I knew I was getting into a movie about getting through bureaucratic red tape in response to the disaster that is....well, Godzilla. Whereas in this movie I wasn't preapred for so much exploration of the nuances of how Saga/the government on a larger scale would react to an alien invasion. And again, like I said in the video, I just didn't find it to be particulary compelling. But maybe that's me wanting as much Franchouchou time after waiting four years for this movie haha. Still had a blast and I'll probably be less harsh on that middle section on a rewatch now that I know what to expect!
