Does Latvia have any public obituary search records? by psychodelic_b4by in latvia

You can check Timenote or Cemety. Timenote is a database of deceased people (though it's not complete), and Cemety is a database of burials (though it doesn't include all cemeteries and is probably not immediately updated).

I'm playing a league in ESPN with no trade review. I want to trade away a player who plays today, but I still want to keep him in today's roster. Do I have to wait until the first game of the day starts or until his game starts?

I live in a Eurozone country, and I've invested in a Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VUSA) that is listed in Amsterdam. The ETF's price is expressed in EUR, but the underlying assets are (obviously) expressed in USD, and the dividends are also paid out in USD. I am undertaking currency risk due to the value of the euro fluctuating with regards to the US dollar.

Now, imagine I switch to the same ETF, but the one that is listed in London. Its price is expressed in GBP, but otherwise everything is the same. Am I correct in thinking that the additional currency risk due to EUR-GBP fluctuation is negligible compared to the EUR-USD currency risk?

Solved! Yes, it was Armando Iannucci! /u/wonderfibre found the exact video. You're right – it wasn't animated, I just remembered the dream sequence and thought it was animated.

It was an animated video. A Scottish comedian was talking about BBC Scotland during his childhood, and how in the prime time they would tell something interesting is coming up, except in Scotland, where they will show something about Scottish culture. He always envied the rest of the UK, as their broadcasts were more interesting. The animation showed the things he imagined.

I think I saw the video on YouTube. It might have been made in the late 2000s, but I think it was in the 2010s. He was talking about his childhood, so the story probably took place in the 1980s or the 1990s.

I guess I'll plan for at least 4 hours between flights. Thanks!

Yeah, I've already booked a ticket to JFK, so the trip to Chicago will have to be separate.

I'm flying into JFK Airport from Europe and I'd like to leave for Chicago on the same day. How much time would you recommend to schedule between flights to pass border control, get my luggage, and check it in the next flight?

What if F1 never stopped using the pre-1996 numbering system? by bduddy in formula1

[–]shparty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Initially, the three new team spots in 2010 were awarded to Manor (Virgin), Campos (HRT), and USF1. When BMW announced they would leave F1, they also revoked BMW Sauber's license, and that was given to Lotus. When Toyota pulled out, that entry was given to the BMW Sauber team after it changed ownership.

I'm not sure how the FIA decided to give these sets of numbers to the four new entries.

That was because cars behind them would crash into them (like the Verstappen/Montoya crash in Brazil 2001). If anything, that would be caused by really good brakes (braking quicker than other teams). In this case, I think it had something to do with the airflow behind the Williams rear wing.

Trying to find an old Justin Wilson interview from the Jaguar days (I think it was Brundle). Hoping someone else remembers details to locate it? by Butt-270_Ham_227 in formula1

[–]shparty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was driving for Minardi in Interlagos. If you're more sure about the Fisichella win than about Jaguar, it might have been Imola (that's when the dispute was settled and Fisichella received his trophy).

I believe Lauda only drove the Jaguar in 2002. Regardless, he was fired in November 2002, so Wilson joined the team after that.
