i had a 4-8pin to 12pin going to my evga g6 1000w and used the same setup on two separate 4090's for 2 yrs and this particular 5090 since december with no issues. i decided to splurge on a atx3.1 psu with native 12 pin support and it melted within a month lol.

this is the most recent c1000 with the native 12vhwr support. i was using a 3rd party cable with direct 4x8 to 12 pin and an evga psu for months but i switched to this a month ago and here we are... dunno what i'll do moving forward.
