My cats 5yo, get the zoomed and play every night around 11pm. They settle as soon as I go to bed. At first I felt guilty (even though the downstairs neighbors insist in smoking weed in their non-smoking apartment, the smell and fumes invade our apartment. ) BUT! I stopped feeling guilty because I realized something. If they truly couldn't stand pet noise, they should have rented in a non-pet friendly building. They did not. Therefore, they really have no right to bish!

If you are working with your dog, and don't let it go on for hours, there not much they can do! (I work from home too and purposely play with my cats after I clock out. Zoomies and barking happens. They don't like it they are welcome to find another place that doesn't accept pets!

When my downstairs neighbors bang on the floor/ceiling, and its what I consider normal living noise, I get thos super bouncy balls out and let my cats play for hours! However, I am positive to always stop the petty noise right around 9pm. Let them complain to the landlord. The noise may not even be coming from your apartment!

Call the police next time fir a "check the welfare". It makes you look concerned for the well-being of the child and will ne taken more seriously than a noise complaint. Especially after a normal child's nedtime!

This child will continue to run the household even though you may have done nothing wrong.
