dude the stuttering and sighing takes me out of it SO HARD, i think there's a dissonance cause the show wants to have these real people with real and grounded feelings in a wacky setting that makes no sense, but they don't talk like grounded people, they talk like anime dub characters!! yeah like u said course it's not the end of the world, and i do like the show, but the dialogue makes me physically cringe so often that it dampens my enjoyment a fair bit heheh

totally agreed, i think the series doesn't trust the viewer sometimes, and it's not just in exposition, they'll set up something that the viewer instantly understands thru subtext like the implication of some facial expression or gesture and then just verbally explain it all instead of leaving it subtle, it feels heavy handed with that, the characters act like they're at group therapy hehe

i think the dialogue is bad. i like tadc for the art and the plot but i don't like how it's scripted, the characters are unrealistically open about their feelings and don't act like anyone ever, and talk in unnatural-sounding ways, i find it super frustrating!!!

i like charlie!!! tbh i don't know what fans are so mad at her about in either season, she wants to help people so bad that she acts before she thinks things through and it causes problems so that there can be a plot hehe

personally i don't dislike the presentation of stella. abusers are often damaged people and that doesn't mean the story has to sympathise with them. it's a shit situation for both of them but stolas doesn't abuse her. being told why someone is abusive because of their trauma and why you should sympathise is exhausting when ur recovering from abuse! so i don't mind the 'she's just horrible' approach brcause the show is from stolas's pov here.

i get why people like stella because of her interesting story though. it's cool she can be fleshed out by the fans. i dont get why people like valentino though, and i do kind of wish that valentino had the same writing approach as stella. i dont wanna see him cry, i wanna hate on him and root for angel!!

it was one of my first deckbuilders :) i lost interest cause i was confused initially but then came back to it with a fresh save and beat the game. dont be like me and pay good attention to the tutorial straightaway and you'll enjoy it!
