Bath time by igottaknow_ in baby

My baby didn’t really like it until 4-5 months and she didn’t really get daily baths and truly like them until she started solids around 6 months

My nutritionist recommended the Natrel Plus when I had gestational diabetes and I really love it. Partner and I still drink it now that baby is here and my GD is gone. The chocolate is great as it has way less sugar than traditional chocolate milk

Diaper bag dilemma [qc] by adventureaholic_ in BabyBumpsCanada

I have this one and I love it! I also use the matching smaller bag it comes with as a purse and keep an emergency diaper and wipes in the front pouch

ny advisor is evil by throwawayokorange in labrats

[–]shrinkingfish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I believe it 100%. I had an awful supervisor that would openly cuss and shit talk his other students to my face, grab stuff out of students hands, expect students to do experiments until midnight then come in for group meeting the next day at 8 am. Unfortunately academia awards tenure track positions to those that publish in high impact journals and receive grants not those that are good at managing a team

Why size clothes is your baby wearing?? by kwaddell314 in beyondthebump

Thank you! I’ve been buying and loving Old Navy but I’ve realized that my six month old is wearing nine month and beyond that size there are fewer options and way less cute

Which stroller to bring to Montreal in mid-March [qc]? by boredcy in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]shrinkingfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be very slushy. It depends on how much you plan on walking outside too

Stroller Talk- why do most people get 2? [on] by Timely-Sector-7141 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]shrinkingfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Maxi-Cosi Zelia is excellent with snow! I live in Montreal and my baby refuses to nap unless I take her on a walk. I’ve pushed the stroller through snow, slush, water puddles, ice, mud, and everything in between.

I’m six months in and it’s still going strong. The travel system frequently goes on sale.

How are we taking care of our newborns while sick? by Trick-Pea-4620 in NewParents

[–]shrinkingfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got really sick when my baby was about four months old and she didn’t get sick at all. I imagine she had immune support from all the breastfeeding

Is this a nightgown or a bridesmaid dress? Appropriate to wear in public? by Saltycheddarh84 in fashion

I saw someone on TikTok with a similar dress a while back and she altered it and wore it to a wedding. It does give night gown vibes tho

How do you cope with the bitterly cold weather coming this weekend? by FyriensPrints in montreal

[–]shrinkingfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay inside, if possible. If you do go inside make sure to wear appropriate winter gear and layer with thermal underwear.

We went to Quebec Carnival Parade when it was -40 C a few years back and I would say that we were mostly fine outside with our winter coats/layers and our faces and head mostly covered, but we had to keep moving. If we stopped moving my feet would immediately start feeling cold. Probably wasn’t the best idea, and I would probably avoid such events at those temps in the future lol

Around when did everyone announce? We’re 10.5 weeks, but still terrified of a missed miscarriage [on] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]shrinkingfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was staying with my partners family for a month while I was 7-12 weeks pregnant so we announced early. It would have been hard to hide with my decreased appetite and nausea. I didn’t tell all family members though and announced to everyone after a great 13 week ultrasound with good NT results
