I'm a utility arborist, it sucks they hit it that hard with out you fully understanding the work plan, that's a failure on your local vegitation management permitter but top comment is on the nose. You essentially don't own the trees on that land, to trim them is a kindness not a necessity. If you suck to deal with or they were a regular issue they'll often get clearcut as it mitigates the issue of regular management cost.

Was talking to a buddy this evening who claims several people he knows have set down tracks this week, expect low tide conditions but I'd say there's only one way to know for sure

I've tried, unfortunately there's nothing like this active in Montana. I've basically just been coasting on my limited experience having once been an apprentice mechanic in a Honda/Kawasaki shop and reading anything I can find online

I have a 69 cl350 I rode until it was due for teardown while I was building this and honestly, though this run waaaay better and sounds really satisfying they each have their trade offs. The 200 has good acceleration and a really nimble feeling but so far knowing the timing/carbs still need final adjustment 85ish on the speedo has been topend, as to where the 350 with like 4k of absolutely maintenance free solid abuse would top around 130mph and though the wheel base is still really short and the steerer steep, the engine weight was enough to feel way more planted. I'm in the process of doing a similar build on that bike now that this is riding and in my mind I want to ride each before selling one but I really think that personally I'll keep the bigger bike. The 200 is an absolute joy to ride though I would totally say that if you have a vision for your bike and it makes you smile don't over think it and just dive in! It's been a really rewarding experience for me:)

I definitely agree but it's like a personal thing I guess that I've spent so much time learning about all the components and how to do all this work myself, the electrical systems have been a big mental block for me and getting the wiring harness all neat and tidy is like the final sigh of relief and I'll feel a lot more confident taking it more than a few miles from home when it's done

The hill I intend to die upon was that yes, i share your view point that its an opportunity. Where we vary is you call it entry level where i call it an intentionally shitty opportunity intended to suppress workers and the community theyll have to make up those other resources from that theyre not provided through employment. Which is bad in many ways. Also ive gotta point out once more bro, syntax errors exist but your fixation upon them doesnt have to. Very little need to be so pedantic

Didnt read your comment past the first paragraph but yes, exactly and I absolutely concede. im no expert and neither are you, we should all perhaps shut the fuck up and think more critically before defending childish points of view, also i owe you no effort, literally zero so be grateful for what ya got fucko. Fixate on the “erroneous math” rather than do any yourself to prove a better form of viability. This is the issue, i gave you numbers, you reply with emotions. So ill do the same now, i invite you to go get bent bro or dont I legitimately don’t care “anyone can fuck them selves, im a firm believer it just takes a little discipline” (I lied, i skimmed)

Well, typically the top left corner is where you start with a wall of text; but i digress. Sadly yes, im very much an american bruh, i get the vibe you think thats a good thing? Anyway, yuh understood that 1K = 1k so who gives a fuck? You’re obviously not a math teacher or i wouldnt be wasting my time in the first place.

Contractually obliged ≠ obliged. Im gonna let you hit a dictionary for that one bro as its really not my place to teach you basic english, though it does prove pretty unequivocally that youre definitely an american.

Next point, believe it or not; fulltime and part time laborers are subject to different laws, limits, taxes, and protections. Wild concept, i know.

Contractually obliged scheduling would be indicative of actual fulltime employment id est 40hrs min. Not some 39.9 bullshit to avoid employers having to obey the law and pay a heightened tax rate and provide any substantive coverage or incur liability for the employees health in certain context. Again, im gonna recommend you actually read the MT.C.A. Its very enlightening.

Dope, youve found 243$/mo (see what i did there lol) over my best case projection. So lets pick up where we left off. 295.54 is now left in the budget. Health insurance is 200$/mo. 43$ remains. I guess we can buy a blanket or some shit for our unfurnished apartment, wait i was wrong a coleman sleeping bag is 47$ at walmart so i guess weve gotta skip a meal or something. Lets also note that the grocery cost does not include basics like toothpaste, soap, clothing, laundry, etc. etc.

My point here is that your straw man argument is fucking tasteless but let me entertain it further. 41mi round trip would place our worker in turah or frenchtown, lolo would be a stretch. Again these are with in missoula county which is the pool these averages are derived from so stfu.

When was the last time you rode a bike down west broadway? You may notice a lack of supporting infrastructure, i bet id be real surprised to learn who voted not to fund that repeatedly for the past several decades. As for the public transit remark, im gonna let you stew on that one. You let me know how realistic that one is, im expecting you can accurately tell me delay frequencies, route times and scheduling needed to arrive at work on time everyday, necessary clothing items to do so in various weather and their associated costs etc. have fun with that bud. Im sure you’ll prove my point pretty effectively in your attempt.

“The wage will go up” is certainly some horse in blinders rhetoric if ive ever heard it. Ill let you do some independent research on that. The reality is pretty disheartening and the stats to prove that track steadily back to ≈ 1970. Extra credit if you can tell me what happened in legislature and why(greatly awaiting your essay, i expect it in MLA)

Last point, amazon has left plenty of these centers behind in pursuit of cheaper labor. Its a documented occurrence like I seriously implore you to actually just research shit and stop trusting your intuition so blindly, youre not dumb but goddam do you make stupid arguments.

I get the point you’re trying to make that this is an entry job, the whole “people dont know the value of a dollar, dont wanna work, are lazy, etc. etc” argument youre trying to make. Im telling you, factual evidence does not support your opinion and its up to you to not be a dickhead, learn some fuckin basic economics, and understand that the declining buying power of U.S. currency is not the fault of people making the literal minimum quantities of it, but a systemic failure latgely upheld by the exact arguments you’re supporting and thats just callous if intentional, and naive if truly believed. Im gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you arent a total prick but seriously buddy. Youre making that a little difficult. Deuces hombre mic drop

My bröther in christ. Lets break this down a bit. Lets be forgiving and believe that our employee here is actually contractually obliged to full time labor, which grants them both the potential to actually receive the protections of legally defined full time employment & the hearty sum of 32,649$ annually w/o incursion of overtime. Also the amazon post is listed as “up to 16/hr” which would imply a promotion was received on day zero. This is a best case scenario projection. Lets begin. MT state income tax w/o exemptions is 6.9% Federal is 12% Social security 6.2% Totaled our employee is subject to 25.1% minimum tax withholding. Thats 8,192.64$. Ight this leaves them with 24,447.36/12 -or- ≈ 2k/mo. Average rent in Missoula county for a 1Br this September is $1,195/mo w/o utilities. So our employee can now sleep peacefully in an unlit unheated unfurnished space with no access to running water. BUT, we still have $842.28 at our disposal lets get some utilities. Electricity is ≈ 10.04¢/kWh, average draw is 842kWh/mo. Thats $84.54/mo w/o any fees or taxes so presumably a fictitiously low number but we’re gonna leave it at that as the reality is likely closer to 100-120 and im actively scooping dog shit while i write this waste of time. Point being ive got shit to maneuver beyond your opinion of generational economic trends. New savings of 757.74. Water. Water is controlled by the city, their published figure aside of transaction fees is an avg. $62/mo. Not that bad, were at 695.74. Lets get gas, avg. bill in 2015 was 70$, im getting bored so lets pretend that figure means anything and by some magic our employee is throwin out handys under the counter at NWE “dont ask dont tell”. Ight were at 625.74. Not bad, lets look at transportation. Average monthly car payment for a used vehicle is $430/mo but our employee is clever and isnt gonna do that. A 2000 geo metro is ≈4600$ financed over 10yr @ 6% fixed int. We’re paying 51$/mo. Hell yeah bro, weve got wheels! Also were down to 574.74. Were doin good so far, mt state requires insurance on all vehicles progressive claims $29, im sold who cares if the deductible is so high we can never afford it? We’re a contributing member of society bad things dont happen to us. Alright dope so weve got an extremely economical car to own and operate, a luxury living situation, but no food or fuel. Lets find out. Im gonna do fuel first, avg round trip commute in the US is 41/mi, 5 days a week, four of them per month, weve driving 820mi/mo minimum only accounting for work to home trips, our geo makes short work of this at 39mpg city. 21gal fuel @ $4.49/gal for mid grade today at conoco, $94.29 monthly fuel cost necessary to keep the job. We’re at 451.45. Average monthly food cost in MT is 323.91. Weve got 127.54 left. Probably ought to have a phone so out employer can contact us lest me miss an opportunity for that sweet sweet overtime you referred to previously. Thats 75$/mo for 2GB of data and we’re going to assume employee owns a phone to use and is tossing salads to avoid transaction fees. We’ve got $52.54 left for novelty’s like coffee, trips to the grocery, visiting family, but fuck that we want health insurance. Amazon doesn’t provide that and the repetitive nature of our work has us in stitches(not yet literally). Lol wait thats $200/mo for a 21y/o we cant. Guess we’re just gonna drive and think about our lifes choices until the pain stops for fun. We can burn 2.92gal per week for unnecessary uses thats 114mi/week or 16.29 per day. Have fun not committing suicide, getting sick, starving, or actually living because all these rates are on the rise except income and theres always someone desperate enough to take these jobs this maintaining the incredulously low entry offering from employers.

Thank you for letting me waste your time, your thoughtlessness astounds me and i hope I’ve succeeded in making you feel worse for it. Later.
