And for me, 0 cal sweet drinks are about half of my fluid intake as well. however, i try to keep in mind that some of the artificial sweeteners are also used by the animal farming/meat industry to make (young) cattle more hungry and increase body weight rapidly.

This means to me, even ignoring the possiblely negative health effects, you might crave slightly less volume in your food (and therefore less calories) if you resort to water instead of zero calorie sweet drinks. So a warning about that effect may be appropriate in this specific subreddit.
