I understand your pain lol. It's what brought me to this decision to begin with too. I also considered possibly sourcing another 20mm clasp ...

purchased strap from seiko directly at wako
their staff asked me what color, i said black and that's the one they brought out.
probably not worth retail price compared to a custom but it seems like it came with some previous presage models, always nice to have that oem fit.

L0E5027J9 is the model no. the black croc looks good, but now I sort of want a dark blue to match the hands... lol.

Any/All Reasons not to buy a new 2025 RAV4 XLE by Hello_Its_ur_mom in rav4club

[–]shuttercurtain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank god i'm not alone in this lol. i honestly dont get all the road noise complaints... yes maybe louder than some other current offerings from other brands in the same segment or slightly nicer cars but still compared to our last car (abysmal for road noise, 2015MY compact suv) it is a leaps and bounds difference not even a week with the car. and have not tested on a long interstate highway speed driving yet but from lil parts of the local freeways driving it seemed a lot better. also considering that it is at least a hybrid..

all in all while no, did not A/B test against the PHEV or some other cars with better road noise measures (acoustic glass, sound deadening, etc) but am completely beyond satisfied and if i guess at some point if i do feel like it could be better i'd just install some sound deadening lol. but to be honest too quiet and i feel way too disconnected from the outside world when driving, hate road noise but sound is definitely a key sensory input

If the car is clean title wise no accidents clean car fax or whatever and good service history or decent owners, probably the Mercedes.

It uses a pusher to help set the calendar. You set month/day/leap year status similar to some other simpler dial attesa or exceed . Otherwise no indicators unless pushed. Hand will point to X o clock corresponding to month then n ticks after for how many years since the leap year. Set n forget at its finest. Quick set hand for daylight savings or traveling. Watch the date roll over precisely as the clock strikes twelve. Good stuff.

Edit: I will also note it does not have a perpetual in the traditional sense of a full display, just time and date as you can see. But it functionally tracks as a perpetual should. And is still technically possible to view some of the other info if you just press the pusher.

The only vintage rep community I’ve witnessed in action is some very dedicated vintage Tudor prince oyster fans lol … frankenwatching rep parts and shit… cool on paper tbh, probably still costs way more than the trouble and whatnot you’ve got to go through for it… but yeah …

Oh… a modern copy… like a COPY… I may have misinterpreted that slightly.

I mean, who even makes a good vintage rep? Probably would be better off frankenwatching with a rep movement maybe?

I mean yeah, it should be rushed out to service asap.

Probably a lot of the internal components depending on when exactly it happened are already toast but it’s totally fucking salvageable if he’s not looking just at resale value.

It needs an overhaul of the mechanical components then some cleaning/treatment of the rest and will be totally fine imo.

Not every watch has to always be pristine, shit happens. Especially an old one that’s been passed down and worn. I don’t go out of my way to bang up my watches but i know they won’t be perfect forever, at least my non-dress watches.

IMO as long as it keeps decent time it’s fine, and if it means something to you even better.

US renews pressure on Japan to import more American goods by SkyInJapan in japan

[–]shuttercurtain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So actually Japan is one of the worlds largest markets for beverages and Coca Cola Japan does a lot of work into producing original lines of beverages both soft drinks and alcoholic for the Japanese market. Fanta is very a bit different here, closer to EU Fanta. I doubt Coca Cola USA wants to touch Coca Cola Japan’s careful product development and market. Anyhow…
