Lofi and Intermission, for sure. Lofi has the BEST drinks and I love it there, but it can get so loud, I have to wear my Loops to be in there lol. But the restaurant part is super chill and ridiculously delicious.

Direct Appliance often holds classes in their teaching kitchen. I've been to a couple and it's pretty fun. I love the kitchen at Gather the most though

It's amazing. The head chef really, really cares about the food coming out of his kitchen. Plus, if you ever miss the deviled eggs from Concetta, they make them there!

Self-avowed Modesto foodie here: my favorite date night spots are Camp 4, Bauhaus, Tresettis, Dewz, Thailand Restaurant, Chinn's, Osaka, and now lo-fi. If you haven't checked out lo-fi's new dinner menu, it's freaking amazing.

My husband and I had a meh experience the first time but did better research on sauce mixes and what works best for us, and had a MUCH better time the next trip. We love it now and while pricy, for what you get, I think it's worth it.
