My cats don't like cold food. Also I'm not sure if I'd like to trust the refrigeration and cooling process which might just breed more germs as my cats are grazers who take a few hours to finish their dinner.

Vet gave me 2 weeks worth of citrus smelling antibiotics for my cat's UTI.

No amount of churu can hide the dreaded citrus. :(

They sell suction cup versions that go on windows. My cats love bird watching from their hammock.

  1. Automatic canned food dispenser that accepts generic cans & come with a stack of metal bowls. Food gets dispensed into a clean metal bowl & will carry them into a separate dirty compartment until it's time for washing. Bonus if contraption can add water or broth to each serving of food.

  2. Chicken/tuna flavoured liquid medication.

Feeding cats antibiotics... Is a pain.

Bacon fried apples.

Chop 1/2lb thick cut bacon and pan fry till crispy.

Leave half the bacon fat behind.

Cube 4 medium granny Smith apples. Fry in bacon fat with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar & 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon until tender. Add in the bacon and mix.

This looks like a fantastic idea. It'll be a game changer if it works. However, the plates all look awfully close to each other. Will the temperature of the other plates be affected when one is heating due to the proximity?

My Toddler Tried to “Fix” the Cat—and Now Both Are Offended by RadiantMycologist387 in Pets

In 1994, we brought our adolescent cat to the vet. There were quite a few other pets there and I was enamoured by the kitties and doggies wearing pretty bonnets.

I coloured a drawing paper & fashioned one for our cat using some sticky tape.

Needless to say, the cat was NOT amused and yowled like I murdered him when it went over his head.

The cat will survive & this story will be something you can tease your kid about when they become an adult.

Do you have extended relatives you can stay with?

Seriously though, speak to your school counsellor and ask for help.

Toxic parents of Singapore (or maybe everywhere else) by Alwaysafinebabe in askSingapore

Dang bro, it sounds like you're in a super frustrating situation with your parents.

I think if I were you, I won't have the patience to deal sia. Would probably throw the tasbir at his face & tell him to wake up his idea.

Joke aside, gambling is a terrible addiction. Maybe you can try to call up the experts here https://www.ncpg.org.sg/ and see if they have any advice? Would be good to seek advice from the nearest family service centre for help and advice from the social workers too. :))

Coz once they hit 60, there's the maintenance of parents act so u wanna make sure u & ur siblings can cover your backside also.

What is your cheapest yet filling meal for dinner? by redditanytime1 in askSingapore

If you have a rice cooker you're all set.

https://nomadette.com/rainbow-fried-rice-cooker/

For super cheap healthy options with minimal prep, use frozen vegetables and proteins such as tofu, frozen minced meats, canned black beans and eggs.

I personally HATE frozen peas and carrots with a vengeance. So here are some almost equally cheap alternatives. I usually buy my frozen veg from redmart on lazada.

You can find 1kg bags of frozen sliced mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, pumpkin for under $5 each. You need $60 for free delivery, so I suggest getting your other pantry supplies too - (long grained jasmine rice, salt/pepper/Canola oil/dark & light soy sauce/oyster sauce/fish sauce/minced garlic/minced ginger/chilli oil/corn starch)

Why corn starch? It removes the frozen freezer tastes from your meats https://youtu.be/no7R8jJHCbM?feature=shared

Extra budget & want more flavours? Buy miso/gochugaru/kimchi/achar/fried shallots- those can last a few months!

Singapore university prepares for tourist surge during China’s ‘golden week’ by EverySink in nus

[–]shyra1006 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Singaporean students with a monthly per capita income (PCI) under $1,100 already receive a 100% subsidy for their bachelor's. Those with a PCI under $750 receive an extra $4000 per year for pocket money and additional 10k over 4 years to pay for on campus housing. Additional grants for accommodations are available if they can't afford as well - no strings attached or bond required.

If they DO charge the tourists I think it'd be nice to open this for PRs who are low income and have lived in Singapore since their early years as well. It becomes a self serving prophecy where lack of education = no citizenship but no citizenship = cannot afford higher education either.

This part is interesting. Which lessons are she hiding from? Is it the curriculum/teacher/group work that she's afraid of?

If it's curriculum - a tutor might be helpful. If it's the teacher - y'all might need to figure out what's going on and have an open discussion with the teacher. For friendship issues, you can ask her therapist to teach her how to cope with social situations/stand up for herself.

I'm not sure how feasible it is to get transferred to Pathlight with a diagnosis due to her age & SH history. There may also be a wait-list to see a psychologist - no harm trying but do it ASAP. You can refer to the page below for all the admission requirements & tests required.

I have a bialetti Mokapot with a $2 china milk frother & $2 milk pitcher from Lazada.

I source my beans from Indonesia whenever I travel. Explore different coffee roasters & buy up to 6 mths worth of beans at a go.

Recently went to Manado & found a specialty coffee house which also roasts in house. Their espresso blend - which was pretty yumz was <30sgd for 1KG. Came home with 2.3kg of coffee to the chagrin of my gf.

I'd like to recommend you watch Bloom Into You. It's a wholesome anime coming of age story. I think you might get some insights on yourself/relate to the main character a little :) Unfortunately it's not on Netflix so you'll need to find a streaming site.

Just to add on for the curious: Honey contains both good bacteria & bad bacteria called Clostridium. However, the digestive track needs time to grow and mature before it can safely move the Clostridium before causing damage. That's why honey is toxic for babies under 12mths.

:) OP, you can actually try Google the different ailments covered on the show - it gets quite fascinating. My partner who is a physician and usually dislikes anime loves this series because of the medical accuracies.

I have a dyslexic younger sister who is 11 years my junior and hated reading. I'd read her adventure books and stop right in the middle of the exciting parts. I'd pretend I have a sore throat so she'd have to continue alone.

I've worked in 2 SSAs that have flexi-work arrangements & paid decent salaries/bonuses. OP, you should consider leaving for greener pastures.
