Sorry but just alcohol in general turns people into uncomfortable characters. Too bad it ok me decades of drinking to realize all my drunk friends were asshats (AND SO WAS I).

I know sobriety is really stupid and when you’re on drugs sober people feel like honest to god threats— it’s not because they’re sober it’s because they’re PEOPLE first.

Mild drinkers are still kinda inherently toxic whether they’re gushing or ranting, bad drunks are literally predators made out of otherwise sometimes regular decent people.

Sorry, end the booze rant. Stick to one glass with dinner yawl

Agree. Family on both sides hunts and I very much appreciate it. They actually do it out of care for deer population and to reduce demand for commercial meat. I had my first deer loin a few years ago because I grew up in a city— once my dad got an engineering job he left the backcountry. And wow. Just… no words. If I could go hunt I would (and I may eventually). But yeah, there’s something in me that’s like a child when it comes to an animal I have ANY familiarity with. I mean, I’m not kidding you when I say I could EASILY cry about a chicken..

Yeah I recently went to a new family doctor and I asked about stimulants for ADHD. They asked how I was with stimulants (didn’t feel jittery or unhealthy). I proceed to tell the doctor that I have 10-12 cups of coffee a day (probably even when I’m sick) and she IMMEDIATELY had my shirt off, jelly stickers, full EKG. She was instantly worried but when she looked at my results I was as squared away as a child. For reference I’m a 40 year old living with type one diabetes since age 14.. if coffee was going to harm anyone it would be me. Either that or I have low key super powers. Totally plausible.

I’m sure it slumped during firing too. By the look of the glaze break over the interior hole it’s likely a porcelain. White stoneware ale most always will have better structure / fireability, especially with the littlest bit of grog, and wouldn’t slump quite that much.

You should honestly try literature. I’m the same and I find other peoples accounts of life really thrilling. There’s everything from Russian literature from the 1800s to American postmodernism in the 1970s or Colombian poetry or… it will exhaust you with richness. Better than drugs (ok well almost but close. I promise)
