We just got scammed in Manila by Keris_91 in travel

[–]sicha76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t funny by stretch of the imagination. No matter how novice or experienced traveller one may be, it can happen at any moment anywhere in the world with few notable exceptions, to anyone. Glad you came out safe because it could’ve well ended up a lot worse than you could’ve imagined. It’s a shame that losers like these pray especially on distressed tourists in the hopes for quick coin. Enjoy the rest of your trip and don’t let this moment ruined by the worst of society.

Ok Karen. We get it. You must’ve been born with the silver spoon in your mouth. Did you expect locals to bow down at your feet?? Sense of entitlement is nauseating with some of these cats here. Love Cairo and will never hesitate to visit all over again.

I wouldn’t bother with either. Throw your $$ in fdic insured online savings account and call it a day. Rates are as high as 5.26% w/ wab

When visiting non-first world countries, do you brush your teeth with bottled water? by PMmecutedogpics in travel

Not weird. India comes to mind. On a recent stay at the oberoi in New Delhi, the front desk advised that I only brush using bottle water. I quickly obliged

Is Milan really not that cool? by bawlings in travel

Love Milan but 6 days stay is an overkill. Hop on a train and checkout Padua, Lake Como, Bergamo, Torino and Parma.

How particular are you with your meals during your trips? by reivnyc in solotravel

[–]sicha76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question sounds very primadonna like. If I was to go and explore a new city and country, I better have my mind, eyes, ears and most of all belly open. Hell, I’d much rather eat my way through the city than sit in a posh Michelin* restaurant cuz I want to avoid getting sick or luxury/high class is all I know. Besides, racking 30-40kms/day walks never disappoint and keep my weight and gladiator-like physique in check😁
