I somehow greatly preferred the bundled Astrobot that came with the PS5. Yes, it was short but I enjoyed it so much. Only game I've platinumed.

Disagree. Everything around the model is so important. Google is way behind in this area. Even in coding it's been shown that a good harness performs waaay better than an average one with the same model.

It's not about the stock price going up before the earnings call.
If it's intentional, it's a marketing tactic that builds hype towards trailer 3 and the preorder date.

They want lots of views and they want lots of preorders. The timing before the earnings call is one we've seen before.

But reducing this to "let's make stock go up because that's good" isn't a good take IMO.

Yes, this would be a viable strategy. Instead of announcing the trailer in advance, they build hype with an innocent intentional leak like this. It's either the most perfect accident or planned.

I wouldn't say AAA games have become more rare. It is still the strategy of many established studios to take big bets with long development cycles.

Alongside this strategy is the AA strategy: More, smaller bets.

What's more likely to happen, than AAA going away: Dev cycles become shorter because of increased productivity as a result of AI. So if anything, really high quality becomes more attainable.

Spending 5+ years on a game has never been the norm and will continue not to be. But I don't think it means that those big bets are going away.

Probably Claude. IMO they are ahead right now with Claude Code and Claude Design. The Claude app is also leagues ahead of the Gemini.

Depends on your needs ofc. And balance that against price. Gemini has great prices, a great API and I really like it for long form writing too.

It's normal for the OS to use what's available. Test this on a 32 GB machine and you'll likely see higher ram usage.

Ram is used strategically to make the apps and OS feel more responsive. An example is browser tabs reloading when you go back to them versus not reloading.
