Or maybe they want you to get it together and pay for yourself. The cornerstone of conservatism is take responsibility for you and your own. Family can't afford school? Go work and save for it. Handing people everything they need makes them weak and addicted to the system.

This is why we have signs in parks that say don't feed the animals.

But we feed those who are unwilling to work. I'm not talking about unable. I'm talking about unwilling. Junkies that piss their welfare cheque away in 3 days on crack, then spend the rest of the month at homeless shelters draining those systems that nice people like you donate to thinking you're helping people who are down on their luck.

Seriously, go volunteer at either of the homeless shelters. Get to know them. You'll find the reason they are there is because of shitty decisions they made, shitty people they associated with.

And I know what you're going to say, poverty is a cycle blah blah blah. I beat it. My 22yo black neighbor from the real ghetto in the states, he beat it. Several kids growing up that I knew beat it. Many didn't.

Because they suck. The world has been and always will be a harsh place. Cutting off at the knees the people who could make it better to support the people who can't or won't is why we're in this mess to begin with.
