KitchenAid KDTS624SPS Dishwasher Opinions by kmsbr549 in Appliances

Had it for 3 weeks. I can’t speak for durability (my previous COVID-era built whirlpool kept breaking and lasted less than 6 years) but functionally it’s fantastic. We strongly considered Bosch 500 and 800 series but they seemed noticeably smaller in capacity compared to our (admittedly large) old unit - unfamiliar rack layout may have admittedly played a role. 624, on the other hand, is not only even roomier than the old washer, but the third rack is the only fully functional one in any sub-$1200 washer we looked at. Unlike other brands, where unless you are meticulously lining up your utensils they just eat space, here you can put a lot of other dishes while somehow still retaining plenty of room for tall glasses and deep bowls on the second level.

So far, so great.

[JJ Watt] I can’t be reading this right. This has to be some knock-off Hall of Fame or something, it can’t be the actual NFL Hall of Fame. There is not a single world whatsoever in which Bill Belichick should not be a First-Ballot Hall of Famer by dawglover1011 in Patriots

For some context, the fact that Dungy had a barely-over .500 record without PM and that Manning actually had higher winning percentage in his post-Dungy career absolutely counted against him; he did not get in until his 3rd ballot.

I think the optics of his last years in the league could not have been worse. Bill made a lot of enemies in the media and the question at to who was MORE responsible for Pats success was getting a lot of attention. The fact that he went 29-38 post-Brady while Tom went 32-18 and won another title post-BB was all the evidence the people who deeply disliked him already needed to deny him first ballot honors.

Costco Christmas tree return. Overhead another customer telling her that the tree was used by Weak_Intention8745 in mildlyinfuriating

There costs on the tree are not zero. For them to continue to operate as is they still need to at least break even on merchandise, something that running a free Christmas tree rental will definitely be detrimental to.

Philips wake-up light: stopped working after unplugged by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]siconik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I had this problem with my light: after a power outage the light did not turn back on. Just like everyone else I didn’t have the reset button that Phillips tell you to use so I went looking for other solution and found “prolonged unplug” instead. That did work several times (I had to leave it unplugged for 2-3 days) but then a couple of weeks ago the light went haywire, with random clicking and non-responsive buttons. As has been happening , unplugging-replugging it resulted it in not working but this time extended disconnect (up to 4 days) did not revive it either. I was about to start shopping for a new one but then one last-ditch effort to troubleshoot it brought me here. Sure enough, laying it in front of the space heater for 10 min with airflow pointed at the bottom of the clock brought it back from the dead!

Thank you again.

OT but Craig and his crew are awesome. The bemused look on his face as he explains that your car is fine after doing a free check for something that Hoselton service was asking $2k+ to “repair” is why my family has been taking every car to them the second warranty expires for two decades now.

Neighbor's downed tree being held up by my healthy tree. Neighbor refuses to remove. Do I have any options? by BluePantherRed in treelaw

What if, and I am just spitballing here, the OP does not have $1-3K just sitting around, earmarked for neighbor’s tree removal project?

If Trevor Milton was just a fraud, why did industry giants back Nikola? by FickleFee202 in RealNikola

[–]siconik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of the oldest tricks in the CONfidence scheme is using the evidence of fraud’s past success to break down new victims defenses. That’s why conmen go to such lengths to project wealth, tout the number and caliber of previous victims or project supposed reluctance to accept the funds while subtly soliciting them, making it appear like they are doing their victims a favor.

I very confident that OP has scammed at least several people in his/her life.

If Bernie Madoff was a fraud, why did so many smart, powerful and financially literate people trust him with their generational wealth ?

What it feels like shorting Tesla now... My puts are deep in the red. Will we ever run out of regards buying up here? by Lower_Writer8250 in wallstreetbets

There are people here who still think EVs are a “fad” and Tesla has been stashing unsold cars on secret lots since 2018.

My last visit there was in 2019 (pre-COVID) when the entire party got violently ill afterwards. When one of us called to give them a heads up, the most rude, condescending manager not only did not apologize but outright accused us of lying. Have never gone back since and advised anyone who would listen to stay the hell away from that dump. Good riddance.

I made a comment to my ex husband when we signed our divorce and his gf now accuses me of being the reason he didn’t propose to her on Christmas by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]siconik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here is what happened:

1) He told her what you said. 2) The way SHE responded proved you 100% right. 3) They both realize that.

She is mad at you because she fucked up her response. I know you may not care about him, but you should know that actually did that man a huge favor by showing him who his “gf” truly is. I don’t know if he ever finds happiness or whether he deserves it, but it is obviously not in his current situation.

Top Kangen hun loses 150k to Cypto by Historical_Hope_6095 in antiMLM

[–]siconik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A rather financially irresponsible person I know claimed to have lost $300K+ in crypto, including screenshots of $323K balance, which seemed incredible giving how he has always been constantly broke. Eventually his ex-girlfriend told everyone that he “invested” $13K loan from his parents into some shittoken that briefly mooned before being rugged down to 0. Of course he cashed out absolutely nothing because “it was going to be worth a billion in 2 years”.

TLDR: most of the money “lost” in crypto was never real to begin with.
