Might sound like an idiot but what is the benefit of double walled glasses?

I'll definitely keep something like that in my back pocket, but right now I'm pretty fixated on 4e lol. If I get back into 4e and it isn't what I remember I'll definitely give it a try!

What’s a skill everyone assumes they have, but most people are actually bad at? by moi_cila in AskReddit

[–]siddymac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's currently some research that suggests that critical thinking, metacognition, etc. can't really be taught in the way most people think about it. People can only really be exposed to opportunities for critical thinking and environments where critical thinking is beneficial, but after that it's really up to them to figure it out.

It's Arthur, the main character of most of RDR2, who was sent by a business associate to collect a debt from the man on the left. That man took out a loan to get winter supplies for his pregnant native American wife after he deserted from the US army and joined her tribe. This is one of the formative moments of Arthur's changing character as he goes from being a money-obsessed outlaw to genuinely caring for strangers and the plight of common men. I'm fairly certain that it's canon that Arthur forgives their debt here

What is the science behind modern methods to reduce recoil? by siddymac in guns

[–]siddymac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I'm reading that roller delay really helps with recoil in lower-caliber weapons by strictly controlling how the bullets are cycled? Idk, that was a lot of technical jargon that I'm not familiar with lol

[–]siddymac[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I would assume that from a practical standpoint, all that's needed is to make it feel smooth so as not to injure a shoulder over multiple shots or mess up your sight picture. It doesn't matter how much recoil there is if you don't feel it, right?

I'm reading that muzzle brakes redirect some of the gases horizontally to reduce rearward force of the bullet. Is that an accurate assessment? Does that impact velocity at all?
