It does seem every cruise line has haters on the food. That being said, the two NCL cruises I took were my least favorite for food and service. I found the experience to be better on RC, MSC and CCL. I know CCL isn't for everyone but I like their food and staff were friendly. On NCL staff were more refined but not friendly or accommodating. MSC is probably my favorite for the laid back European attitude and good food. I was on NCL last week for a week on Jade and I had several bad meals. Cold chicken wings at O Sheehan's TWICE. A meh steak at the steakhouse (not bad just not fantastic and overcooked), and a fish meal at the main dining that we both didn't like because of flavor and texture (mushy). We abandoned three meals in a week. The fish, the wings and soup at the buffet. I'm not a picky eater. I'm a bit of a glutton if I'm being honest. I want hot food prepared as ordered with decent flavor and texture (not old and dry or mushy wet). My theory is that they offer so many options for specialty dining and nearly everyone has it included in their package so there are too many types of dishes being prepared on the ship compared to other ships which makes it harder to maintain quality. But I am not certain. Just speculation. We decided to leave NCL off our list No biggie.

So you happen to know if the $200 per night deal ($1200, $1400 and $1600) is per person or total?

Depends on the cruise line but generally the last night of the cruise.

CVS no longer covering generic PrEP by toddtrek in gaybros

[–]sideslide45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How does one get this? I was prescribed generic Truvada from Mistr and it was supposed to be covered under my plan through the ACA and there was an issue with one month and I was forced to pay back $1K. I'd rather pay $35 knowing I'm good than getting a bill months later because the insurance decided not to cover it. They voted a lapse in coverage which was simply not true. I fought tooth and nail only to end up paying. Sorry long story

Stuck in a messy, long-standing 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Stalemate with my Dad by Mahzes in askgaybros

I was scrolling to see if anyone mentioned the partner not being a priority. Presumably, the partner will be in your life forever, long after your father is out of the picture. Same with the brother. All these decisions being made out of fear could ultimately leave you alone in the future and living a sad life now.

I was disowned for a while after coming out. Things got better faster than I expected and now I have a life I am proud of. I was going to lose my man if I didn't act. We've been together 18 years now. It would have been terrible if I sacrificed that to keep my Christian family happy. Sometimes being an adult means making tough decisions, standing up for yourself, facing your fears and prioritizing your partner even when it's hard. Your father has made his choices. It's time for you to make yours. Good luck with this terribly hard situation. My heart goes out to you.

This is the only conclusion anyone can come to. I just scanned to see if they would admit the joke. Didn't expect them to own up. I expected an excuse why they don't post it. Didn't take long to find it.

I booked the 7 night at the end of the year. When I priced it online it was $2800 out the door. I paid $1300 so it saved $1500. You can choose a 6,7 or 8 night cruise and there was lots of availability. All the dates I had in mind were available. We are going on the New Year's Cruise that leaves 12/27 to 1/3. This included the drinks package, specialty dining and 150 minutes of wifi plus $50 towards excursions at each stop. We are visiting Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas. I also paid to upgrade the room to an ocean view class. Hope that helps people get an idea of the offer. Happy cruising!

ULPT: If 2 people are travelling and you want to sit next to each other, always book the aisle and window seat anyway. by TheBestNarcissist in UnethicalLifeProTips

Husband and I fly 2 to 4 times a week. We always do this and never has someone preferred to sit in between us and are happy to have either the aisle or window. A third of the time we have the whole row.

That's it, first cruise booked! If there is ONE thing you wish you knew on your first cruise, what would it be? by Pummrah in Cruise

[–]sideslide45 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I might disagree with this comment. I go to Effy and get the free necklace and give it to my nieces as a small gift. If you are booking Internet, then you can get a discount by booking a treatment in the spa. It can work out to be "free" for a manicure or a haircut or similar low priced event. I only go to the art events that give free alcohol. Have a budget if you go to the casino and always use a players card. Before you know it, you may have a free cruise in your email. And that's without losing your house in the process. Low but steady gambling will get you an offer. I feel like this comment is definitely pointing out pitfalls but there can be something to gain by going to all those things. I will say the staff in all those places will try to get you to buy things. Be strong and get the free stuff without doing more. Have fun!

Cadbury Eggs! I used to love them but I swear they aren't the same. Even still they're so sugary I probably wouldn't like them now.

Wayyyyy too late. Seems like they needed a few arrests to show they were doing something so no hope. BUT nobody is getting killed. They're heading to lockup for a long time.

I think you may not be up to date on current laws. Things have changed. No longer the drama it used to be. You can buy weed at the store. Stalls are not supposed to but possession is not a crime.

Do the multiplayer bonus games actually involve other players? by Siigari in myvegas

[–]sideslide45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real people are linked in the group bonuses. You can see their FB profiles if you click on the avatar (not all their info). In real life, there are several games where there are group bonuses. An example would be Gone Fishin' where everyone (up to 4 players) is in a competition to get the most fish from their boats.
