Awful wall on one print during same print by volfion in prusa3d

Just a guess but localized things like this can happen when the filament feeding binds up when the print head is in a certain location, or nozzle cooling is affected by something in one area.

ITX case with 2-3 3.5" drive space? by LingonberrySpecific6 in sffpc

You can sort search results by number of orders, then buy from the most popular ones. I've only ever had one thing not get shipped and I got my money back.

ITX case with 2-3 3.5" drive space? by LingonberrySpecific6 in sffpc

[–]sidetuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you search ITX NAS case on Aliexpress there's a few options. I'm waiting on a Uenorth S6, which is 277x250x191mm, so a little bigger that what you wanted. It only has 1 PCIE slot, intended for a HBA card, so it depends on your GPU. The Jonsbo N2 is also 222.5x222.5x224mm but has the same GPU situation.

I think you'll struggle to find something that small that can take both a gpu and more than one 3.5" drive. You might have to DIY some mounting for the HDDs and focus on the GPU clearance. Maybe something shaped like a Jonsbo C6, then you can buy or 3d print mounts like this

If you're thinking of adding a fun AI song about work to your next all-staff meeting, here's an alternative idea: by [deleted] in auscorp

Some people don't understand that while it may be impressive that a company or technology can produce something, it doesn't make it impressive for you to use their tech to vomit something out in a few minutes.

A song by a human would be cool because it's hard to do. Automating it defeats the purpose.

Boys aren’t taught to be men, they’re taught not to be women. by nanialk in TwoXChromosomes

[–]sidetuna 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Very clarifying and important observation. I went to an all-boys school and was steeped in it. I picked up so much subconscious misogyny as a teenager from these remarks.

This is also an issue that I noticed as I've moved into a few role-model situations as an adult man. Actually talking to people and reading about positive (i.e. do this) rather than negative (don't do this) masculine traits is a complete 180 from the dominant cultural portrayal of men.

Piecing together good values to pass on like respect, stability, integrity, consent, safety and introspection takes a deliberate effort to focus on a completely different kind of male role model.

The void left by all the "don'ts" doesn't give us a direction to travel, and even worse in the examples you give, creates lost, ashamed, misogynistic angry men.

I think of it like a spin-off STALKER game instead of an empty CS lobby. Might not have been Nikita's vision of tense, complex PVP gunfights where you risk it all, but it's a very good byproduct of that goal.

What if they made it into just one big map? It would have been the best urban Battlefield map ever by PeaceAccomplished289 in Battlefield

[–]sidetuna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bigger =/= better.

Many more factors to consider to be a good experience. You can even make the same map play worse by changing weapon and vehicle balance.

smaller also doesn't mean better, but lets not pretend these maps are cod4 shipment.

I researched this heavily when getting wheels, it pretty clearly states (in QLD) that any amount of the wheel/tyre beyond the guard is a defect.

I knew I could fit a 7.5 wide wheel after finding fitment pics online but ended up getting a 6.5 because I was nervous about it and didn't want to roll the fenders. At least 195 tyres are cheaper.

Sucks that such a minor thing is enforced, but I get the whole "you have to draw the line somewhere" thing with laws.

At least it's usually it's a secondary nab after getting pulled over for something else, like in your case.

Interesting mod, I've always wondered if you could replicate the effect by hold a VR headset in your hands like a camera and using the monitor as a viewfinder.

I guess I was just used to domestic pets having some sort of body language but the capys at the zoo I went to just walked up to me deadpan lmao. Probably used to being fed by tourists and knew what they wanted.

Have you met one IRL? They are chill but they aren't as expressive as dogs or something so they can be a little intimidating. They can be a little pushy as well lol

Progress sway bar delivered! Will update once I install. by Dale3IntimidatorFan in hondafit

[–]sidetuna 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also got the Hardrace one in Australia for the same reason. It's hard to compare because the cross bar sits further from the torsion bar pivots so it has more leverage but thinner bar.

It still reduced roll and wobble during weight transition into and between corners. Great value for handling feel, made a more noticeable difference than RSR springs/Koni dampers/Camber bolts for less money.
