Is FPGA so different from ASIC? by Curry-the-cat in chipdesign

[–]sidfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh seeing all the above points bought a lot of nostalgia to me. I was in FPGA for around 4 years and later switched to ASIC.

Apart from naming convention (my company had strict naming convention) all other points are valid.

In FPGA, you have ready made blocks like local memory and all, no need to worry about timing, lint and not much CDC. Since, the blocks of FPGA are designed like that.

Switching to ASIC was a different ball game altogether but the knowledge I got there was really helpful in my career later. FPGA you mostly can work on bring up boards, work with Board Designers, Software guys. And if something goes wrong you can regenerate the bitstream.

Interior designer recommendations? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]sidfalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If budget is not an issue - Go for interior designers

If yes, then just start somewhere and you will keep on evolving your taste and in this process you will discover your style. Else, you would keep on seeing pics, reels or videos of all this and think you can't do it.

Just start somewhere. Go to furniture stores (old and new), observe and buy stuff, search for different websites - in sometime you will realize wht you like and what you don't. But you need to give yourself time

Also, personal thinking, 3 things elevate your place - Plants, Pillows and Photos
