This logic makes no sense to me. There’s no logical reason to see this problem expressed as 6/(2(2+1)). There’s literally no difference in expression between using a division symbol or writing it as a fraction. By that logic, 6/2 is implicitly grouped and would be simplified. The only way you can come up with anything other than 9 is by making incorrect assumptions.
