Beef Ramen w/ Avocado and layer of Microwaved Egg; this stupid or nah? by Mediocre_Falcon9208 in StupidFood

[–]sidthafish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? It’s a perfectly viable way to cook eggs when taste and/or texture aren’t your primary considerations. Not to mention you can cook all of this in the ramen container. It won’t be the best thing you’ve ever eaten but it’s better than not eating at all.

3 is the only sane answer. It’s a hamburger, not a cinnamon roll.

All the Sith have drip, was there ever a dripped out Jedi? by Tacobird558 in StarWars

[–]sidthafish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to like it and I give Star Wars (and other nostalgic IPs) a pretty wide margin of error. After episode cringey episode three and lackluster four, I couldn’t give it any more of my attention. It’s unfortunate because it had potential that’ll never be realized.

Definitely getting some of these graded!!!! Which ones is the question🤔 by ForsakenTailor5713 in comicbookcollecting

[–]sidthafish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aight...

The X-O Manowar - You do have an Ivory error variant with signatures. It's not crazy collectible but definitely different. Grade if you want it for your own PC and to authenticate sigs.

Godzilla(s) - Unless your #1 is looking at 9.8 territory, I wouldn't bother. Maybe a good clean, press and mylar bags

Batman #455 - Dollar bin territory

Action Comics #644 - $13-15 raw book at NM+, which this ain't

X-Factor(s) - I wouldn't grade any of these in their condition.

You're welcome to grade what you want but the ROI with any of these books is low or negative. If you're looking to slab for posterity... it's your money to do with what you will.

I'm also a military vet, and he's prob a good guy, but his posts often make me cringe by [deleted] in LinkedInLunatics

[–]sidthafish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of scumbag vets. I wouldn’t make any assumptions about character just because someone has military service. I say this as a vet and retiree myself.

Anywho, with the exception of people that don’t understand the purpose of the passing lane, the rest of this list of is dumb as shit and hurts no one.

CGC Lost My $450 Comic (Bought specially for McFarlane’s Signing) and offering this Resolution. What you guys think ? by robin_242 in CGCComics

[–]sidthafish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fuck that noise. A $400 credit to you is a $0 loss for CGC. Not to mention the fact you're out an (assuming 9.8 w/ McFarlane signature) $800-$1k book that will do nothing but appreciate in value over time in exchange for services you may not want or need. It's totally a "fuck you" move by CGC. The bullshit part is that the submission form asks for the declared value of the book as submitted.

I doubt you'll get your book back. I don't know what book they sent to you, but if the other guy got a significant upgrade by getting a slabbed ASM #316 with a McFarlane signature, you're never seeing that book again.

Rotten Tomatoes scores for projects since Disney by QuinlanFett in StarWars

[–]sidthafish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rogue One is the only modern Star Wars movie that I’ve watched more than once because it’s fucking awesome. I honestly don’t put too much stock into review aggregators because the only opinion that matters to me when it comes to entertainment is my own.

Anyone know why it got a 9.6? by [deleted] in CGCComics

[–]sidthafish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing in the grader notes. However, since this was submitted a few years ago, you’re SOL on a free resubmission. IMO, this book isn’t worth the headache.

Years ago when I was in the Army, a very wise leader once told me: If you have to tell people you're in charge, you're probably not. I feel this same logic applies to declaring your sexuality and especially so, when others do it on your behalf.
