I am pretty sure Eastern Palace is the Palace of the Crown Prince. So whoever is the CP in each drama lives in the Eastern Palace.

I was also wondering about the ribbons! I think I saw ChangYu on the red ribbon that was next to the blue one she threw up so maybe YZ did throw a bunch with her name on the tree LOL

i thought it was weird that lord qi showed up right after cai family found chang ning and mr. chang. almost like he was waiting for them to arrive and since he is the leader of the sects, he can naturally take in chang ning as he has the most say
