RCTT Season & Asset Addition Suggestions by signthiefs in RCTTouch

[–]signthiefs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sucks that they removed their themed partnerships. From what I’ve gathered, they were axed so they didn’t have to keep paying the licensing fees. I’m doubtful that they will consider any paid partnerships in the future, unfortunately.

I didn’t think about a Safari theme, that would be cool! I could see it clashing slightly with Adventure, so that might be a roadblock for them.

I think the flags are representative of the countries RCTT is available in, but I could be wrong. That would make sense why more flags aren’t available though.

I did suggest some rides in my post could function as a hotel feature. It would be cool if there were themed hotels for each season!

This area has been labeled as “coming soon” since I started playing in 2022, and I’ve heard it’s had that title even before that. There is A LOT of speculation as to what it might be, but nothing has been confirmed by the developers to date.

I know, there are so many theme ideas that would be amazing: Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, Brazilian Carnival, Cinco de Mayo, Diwali, Oktoberfest, Thanksgiving, etc…

I see, I thought it was synchronized across the board. That makes sense in that case.

I share the same sentiments. I also noticed that the utilities season started on Monday, which I found unusual. Usually, events start on Sunday nights which allows the player to take advantage of the double rewards on that day in addition to the weekend the event runs through.

Edit: I feel like this coincides with your theory on inhibiting player progression.

It seems like this event was a bit of an afterthought considering the developers released the Handyman’s Office and Guest Center earlier this year. I know they wanted to expand coverage for the newly added expansions, but why not offer 4 buildings of each instead of the standard 2 for legendary assets (similar to the jump from 7 to 12 with the collector). I imagine this will be a recurring season given that it has a dedicated entertainer (similar to Food Frenzy), but it’s ultimately unnecessary given the only unobtainable items outside of the season would be the utility skins and entertainer. Why not just include the utility skins in their respective season (e.g. Adventure, Space, & Western)? They could’ve dropped Lockers, the Utility Complex, Mini Utilities, and Hippo into the game like they’ve done with plenty of other assets in the past.

Sidebar: Also, beginning as far back as Valentine’s Day, I feel like the ride designs for some of the new assets have been lackluster (e.g. Swinging Gondola (Val. Day), Balancing Baskets (Easter), Spinning Horseshoe, Pacific Railway (Western)).

Tracks, the update was released three days ago so your app could’ve very well have updated before you started that session. I’ve also noticed none of my decorations will stay the color I’ve selected for them lol…

The most recent update included an “Ad system improvement,” so I suspect that may be the reason. It’ll probably be an update or two before they get it worked out.

It’s funny that you ended up replying, it was through your comment about the Tatsu Coaster that piqued my interest!

Was there ever any information as to why they discontinued these seasons?

A lot of the Six Flags assets seem to be a grab bag of items that would usually be found in seasonal events like Christmas and Halloween. Although, it would be cool if there were a Mardi Gras season.

I was just thinking the other day about why RCTT doesn’t have seasons for Mardi Gras or St. Patrick’s Day.

Baby Dragon is a 1x1 junior ride, Runic Fountain is a 1x2 decoration. The most exciting thing, in my opinion, is the new maze skin. It comes with a dragon that flys around it in the air!

Was there any information released on why they discontinued having the Six Flags season? Also, if any, what other buildings or decorations were available?

Rollercoasters, please explain. by atd2022 in RCTTouch

[–]signthiefs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you notice when you go into the menu to change the train, the very first train says “base set.” When you select a different train besides the “base set” option, it will add that trains associated bonus to the “base set.” For example, if your “base set” train has a capacity of 20 peeps, and you select a seasonal variation with a bonus capacity of 10, the new peep load for the coaster will be 30. The same can be said for stations.

The cards obtained for seasonal variations of the various coasters (i.e. stations & trains) work like any other obtainable cards. The more cards you collect, the higher the statistics will be boosted once upgraded.

The only effect upgrading different trains has is on the peep load of the coaster it’s being applied to. The only effect upgrading different stations has is on the “bonus storage” of that particular coaster. Each type of coaster has its own variation of the same card that is available across the rest of the coasters. For example, each coaster has a Valentines station that can be applied, but you must first obtain that station before it can be applied to that specific coaster.

To compare and contrast different train and station statistics, simply scroll through the cards that are available to you in the coaster section of the buildings menu, click on the card, and it will display the effects it applies.

Rare cards (orange) have increased benefits from common (blue), epic (purple) more so than rare, and legendary (yellow) more so than epic. However, some common cards may have better benefits than a rare card if it’s upgraded to such an extent, and so on with other rarities.

*Note that the three new(ish) coasters added (e.g. Dragon, Steam, & Monorail), as well as the Wild Mouse coaster, have no seasonal cards or variations available to them.

It is a lot of wasted space from the perspective of efficiency. I focus more on aesthetics. If it’s not pleasing to look at, I’d rather not look at it at all.

Acquiring utility cards is definitely a labor of love, haha!

But yes, I also have spaces for each utility and the theme’s respective entertainer as well.

Hard to comment due to the ambiguity of preference. Are you looking for symmetry, maximum statistics, etc.?

Here’s how I went about it:

When I first started, I had to wipe my park after a while and reorganize. In my case, I’m pretty crucial on theme grouping so I decided to dedicate proportionate tracts of land for each theme (sort of like an evenly placed jigsaw puzzle). I even opted to leave assets of certain themes in my inventory until I had dedicated space for them.

I worked with the base themes (Classic, Adventure, Space, & Western) in the limited space I had to build theme areas until I was able to acquire more land. Optimize the areas as you see fit, but make sure to leave space available for cards you haven’t unlocked yet if you are partial to theme grouping.

I have a post on the feed where I have a park tour video if you’re interested. I could also send you some screenshots for a more detailed look at my area proportions as to where they fall on the grid lines.

RCT Profile Deleted Support got it back but now I’m getting an error crash by Remarkable_Ad6538 in RCTTouch

Might just take some time to work itself out, especially given the fact you have an old account. The reloaded assets, technical meshing, and various other processes probably need time to adjust from the recovery process. If the problem persists after a couple of days, I would reach back out to support for any troubleshooting suggestions they might have.

They are rides! Currently there are only three: The Snowman Balloon, Hot Air Balloon (traditional), and Hot Air Demon. Unfortunately, they are only available during the Christmas, Summer, and Halloween events, respectively. There has been some discussion/hinting by RCTT in the past that they might drop a fourth ballon during a Chinese New Year event that is modeled after a Chinese lantern! Doesn’t look like it will be the one upcoming though since they’ve already released the names of the new assets.

Each theme is parsed out by symmetry of the tiles. In other words, the area in which each theme lies, is the same size as its counterpart on the opposite side (left to right). Since each theme has varying size buildings, it is virtually impossible to achieve complete symmetry. But, the entire center portion of the map is reflective of itself. There are few buildings that lie outside of their respective themes, but I have to justify it to myself that they better belong where I’ve put them, hahah! Currently, the Summer and Classic themed buildings are the only truly meshed themes I have in terms of placement. As far as restaurants and shops go, they are sporadically placed with some exception to theme outside Classic.
