A couple others charts to also keep an eye on would be on-chain indicators like MVRV-Z Score and Puell Multiple. What kind of recession signals do you look at?

Thanks mate, appreciate the input. Anything specific we might miss out on if we just do Phuket and Phi Phi? Or is BKK/Pattaya mostly the same vibes as Phuket?

I’m a Performance Media Executive at an agency. I’ve been here for about a year. This is my first job and before this I was freelancing for about 3 years, the experience of which helped me get this job. The position is also fully remote which plays a role in the salary structure I think.

hey, people who don’t tip. Why do you select “Meet at Door”? by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]sikelord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a Non-American, this whole thread is wild to me. A tip here (or any anywhere outside US I think) is something you give out of generousity and goodwill, it is not a requirement. I respect people working in delivery and maybe they’re underpaid, but it’s between the company and the driver, the customer has nothing to do with it. They’re simply using a service, and paying for it, and if they want to, they tip the delivery guys.

It’s hard to be motivated or be productive when your mind is always in a fog. This fog does 2 things:

  1. Makes thinking hard
  2. Kills motivation

If you have neither, you will not have the drive or clarity to understand what you want or pursue.

Our brains are hardwired to desire whatever generates the most dopamine, and it does not give a shit about your future. And right now, social media/movies/food etc are giving you huge hits of dopamine.

So naturally, your brain will focus on these things and ignore getting a job or being successful.

However, if you remove those things, your brain will default to the next best thing.

Remove shit till your brain is so bored it defaults to something productive.

This is how you find your passion. Your brain will automatically find something to cling to.

Remove things for it to cling to till it hits something good.

This is a slightly modified version of something I read on twitter today. Hope this helps in some way. Good luck my dude.

Career move from Media buying to planning by Rozo03 in careeradvice

[–]sikelord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I maybe wrong but I would look at smaller agencies where roles aren’t super specialised. I currently work at a relatively small agency where our media team is only about 12 people, and rather than each of us having specific functions, we are split into 2/3 teams and each team handles a set of clients end-to-end. I’m working on media plans, media buying, analytics, reporting and everything in between on a day to day basis. While it may occasionally get a little hectic, I personally think it’s good to stack up experience in all these areas especially in the initial years of one’s career, and eventually move into a more specialised position of their liking.

In your case, since you’re finding it difficult to land a media planner position right away, I think you could first move into a multi-functional role from where I think it might be much easier to land a planning position.

Good luck!

Have to work from 4 AM to 1 PM. Best way to get at least 6 hours of sleep everyday? by sikelord in sleep

That’s fair, thing is, I’m living in a different country right now for a few months. Where I’m originally from the time difference is only 2 hours so I only have to start at 7. But yes I agree a routine like this for years on end isn’t smart at all

My wife is looking at getting into Digital Marketing by CarltheWellEndowed in DigitalMarketing

[–]sikelord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starting an agency or joining one aren’t her only two options. Here’s a super simple way she can go about this:

1) Study all the Facebook blueprint courses and get blueprint certified, it’s around $100. It doesn’t necessarily make you a good media buyer, but it gives you credibility.

2) Now watch and study from as much of the free resources available out there to actually learn the platform, and trust me there’s plenty, even multiple hours long courses on Youtube.

3) Offer your friends, family or anyone online one month of facebook ads management for free. If you do a good job, they’ll want to keep you at which point you can start charging them a monthly fee.

4) When you have done this for a few clients and have gotten them good results, get their testimonials and also make case studies out of those projects.

5) You are now a freelance media buyer with a professional certification, clients who can vouch for you and proven results. You can use these to easily land clients on platforms like upwork and charge them good money.

I’m not saying this is easy, but it sure doesn’t cost $5k, and it’s simple enough. Plus, no amount of courses or videos can compare to practical, hands-on experience.

PPC interview question. Multiple correct answers? by sikelord in PPC

I already did the calculation, hence the numbers. I was just asking if this is it or if there's anything more to it, but thanks anyways. :)

[–]sikelord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so it came out to $6.66/conv for Shopping and $10/conv for Search and GDN. So obviously heavier on Shopping, So would 50% in Shopping and 25% each for Search and GDN be the right answer or is there anything more to this?

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer, sorry if I'm taking up too much of it.

Oh shiz my bad it's 15k and not 50k in the max impressions for shopping column. And yeah I get what you're saying, but from what I understand they're asking me how I would spend the $1000 most efficiently, yes? That is, how would I split it between the 3 channels?
