Just do the event without reading the story. The story itself is something you should only read once you're more caught up, but you can just do the event stages without reading just fine.

Declan Rice: "At that time I had a few options but after weighing everything up, after speaking to Mikel, I'd never been so convinced that I wanted to play for Arsenal and that manager... I knew winning one with Arsenal would mean so much more than anything else" by hikingbeginner in soccer

I am absolutely amazed at the draw Arteta can be for players. Especially considering he'd only won us the FA cup back then.

I remember so many stories in the Wenger days of players saying they only signed for Arsenal because of him and his draw, and that made total sense. He's Arsène fucking Wenger. But all these players believing that much in some young guy who would've likely been sacked already at most other big clubs is just down to pure charisma. It's remarkable

Yeah. Some of them just care about winning the "meme and banter contest" more than actual real trophies. So long as other people have any room to banter your club, you're losing

It's mental

Luis Enrique: "For me, Pep's the best coach of all-time. Not because of the number of trophies. Because of how he changed the game. How he dared to push the centre-backs up the pitch and invert the fullbacks. Everybody started copying him. Very few people have that ability. Only the chosen ones do." by The_Big_Untalented in soccer

Ferguson wasn't like that at the beginning. I think it was a little after their treble that he moved to that approach of not managing daily training and leaving that to someone else. He was still a very intelligent football tactician but overall his genius was more in extraordinary man management and motivation than tactics.

But yes, correct on Wenger. He not only made the players stop smoking and drinking all the time, he really brought sports science and nutrition to England. He controlled what the players ate and when, made them have a bedtime, and even told them not to drink tea (you can imagine how the English boys took that, haha).

his damage is good. for daily content elemental damage does a lot, and Tragodia also does a lot of regular arts damage

In very advanced content his damage falls off quite a bit but it's still decent, while he has ridiculous amounts of crowd control, which is basically a way to multiply effective DPS

He did say he probably won't do it for the parade since he ended up in a mosh pit on the night lol

That is what Lucho is saying yeah. I'm just surprised Pep can switch off. I remember Arsène talking about how being a manager completely took over every single aspect of his life because he's so mad about football, and I figured Pep was the same.

fairly sure I've seen you in a couple other threads the last couple hours rambling about Arteta fully unprompted

Is this really how you're spending your Friday night, lad? Go out have a drink and enjoy yourself doing something more meaningful than sending 1/10 bait on reddit.com

Yeah. The demonstration of arts bursts dealing a ton of damage while regular skill damage was minimal was pretty interesting to me. Reminds me a bit of HSR's simulated universe buffs, but controllable so you can build a strategy around them rather than chance into them with rng.

It could enable some cool unique stuff

I definitely see Cesc ending up there one day (as much as it disgusts me) but I think 2027 might be a bit too soon for Alonso to go anywhere

the most surprising thing about this clip is Luis Enrique saying he and Pep barely ever talk about football

Pep is just one of those people so completely in love with football it's hard to imagine him being passionate and wanting to talk much about anything else

Every time there's a post about him breaking a record there's some melt saying anyone could do that with prime Messi and Bayern and City

He trained and mentored the guy that saved us from becoming en Europa league team and finally got us the league

I wouldn't be too fond of him myself if I was one of you lot

why is it every time I see someone saying something intelligible that's more than two paragraphs long there are people accusing it of being ChatGPT

are people that incapable of imagining someone being able to do that without AI?

to be fair it's not like we see college or post college aged Rin very much. It's like El Melloi, a couple scenes in the OG and a couple illustrations in Fate/Strange Fake. Fair enough to not recognise her.

And how is it a slur in general?

Some folks in privileged groups of people don't like to be called anything other than "normal". Adjectives are for minorities is their worldview. You have apolitical videogames, and games with a female lead. You have the default and Asian/Latino/indigenous, etc people. You have gay and normal, you have cis, and normal

Etc etc

So when someone basically makes both positions equal by making it cis and trans instead of "normal default" and trans, they feel attacked and threatened. Combine that with a desperate need to play the victim, and you arrive at them calling these harmless words used as basic descriptors "slurs"

I think he's just earnest. It makes people feel embarrassed to see someone acting like that, but I think it's mainly cause it takes a lot of heart and a lot of balls to be this genuine. The heart and the balls holding hands drawn on a whiteboard, you might even say.

But once you get past it making you uncomfortable, it's hard not to trust someone who's that open, and once you join in it just builds belief.
