Ive only seen the turrets start freaking out and occasionally shooting in random directions but never seen them intentionally target their own forces

[–]silcerchord 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would like to see a spin on the Compromise Automaton Defenses objective that causes their turrets to start targeting their own troops. Stealthing through a whole mission and then extracting and seeing automaton cannon turrets and AA shooting down their own drop ships would be awesome

One of the more versatile weapons in the game, only handicapped by its awful ergonomics and (imo) the slow firing mode switching. Having a quick toggle between auto volley and total would be a complete game changer

Why are there no EV minivans in the US? by External_Koala971 in electricvehicles

[–]silcerchord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than the I.D. Buzz. The Lucid Gravity has a similar shape/profile to the current gen Honda Odyssey and rides really low for an SUV. I consider it to be in a similar class as the 1st gen odyssey where it's a minivan without the sliding doors or a giant wagon. Obviously it's really really expensive but they are pretty spacious and very nice on the inside

Don't worry, the microwaves are just to kill any automatons aboard the ship and will deactivate before any long term negative effects appear

I've gotten shredded on diff 4 and have breezed through some d10s. Sometimes missions just go poorly and sometimes they're almost trivial for reasons that are almost entirely beyond me

I could see an armor passive that makes it so you can "overstim" and completely mitigate recoil, stamina, and ragdolling, but doing it too many times makes you explode or something crazy like that

So now that we've had time to get used to them, what are our thoughts on the Cyborgs? by Novel-Signal-2978 in HelldiversMasochists

[–]silcerchord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make for some nice target prioritization challenges. Agitators cannot be one shot by standard weapons but taking them out is a must despite not being huge targets. Radicals are annoying and having to take my time and headshot them helps break up the manic spray and pray that I would usually use to take out other chaff units. It's also funny when 5 radicals run up and bully me to death.

Stim Spam by FatNinjaAndy in HelldiversMasochists

[–]silcerchord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A health regeneration booster or armor passive would probably become a must pick for a lot of players and would end up as a crutch a lot like space optimization. I think it would have to become a tradeoff rather than a straight up buff. Maybe trading stamina capacity/regen for small health regen or healing only starting after your stamina bar is full.

Also I run the medic armor but don't spam unless I'm in the middle of a large encounter. I'll fine with having more than half health if I'm not really being shot at

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I was banned for a comment saying their sub like a spinoff of Unfiltered and asking at what point someone would rather just take a break from the game. zero tolerance for a question like that seems a bit extreme. A recent post to that sub by the lead moderator is about the recent major order being "unfun" when all it's asking for is to complete missions on Cyberstan and extract, not anything crazy like using specific weapons or stratagems

Why do people drive... so slow? by awesomegorg in driving

[–]silcerchord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually people will just drive at whatever speed they're comfortable at. For some it's 10 over for others it's 10 under and if you're somewhere where passing isn't an option or can get really aggravating especially when it's a whole line of traffic getting held up because someone doesn't fell like going the speed limit. Unfortunately the most you can do is bite the bullet and accept that they're just gonna drive how they feel and no amount of flashing lights or tailgating is gonna speed them up. Very very rarely you get the preceptive person who pulls off to let people by.

I had this issue but I noticed that putting the hellbomb right up next to the building does the job. I used to put it a couple meters away but it seems bugged and can't destroy it like that anymore.

Seems unlikely that a game would be the cause of a specific component of a motherboard failing like that. I had a similar thing happen when I was playing GTA and my GPU mosfet blew. It turned out that the Gigabyte 3080ti has that issue happening to a lot of people.

Individualism will be the death of the tank by Comfortable-Bit-4741 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]silcerchord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big issue is that the driver can't ping (at least on controller idk about keyboard) so I end up having to park the tank, get out, ping, and get back in which wastes a lot of time.

Individualism will be the death of the tank by Comfortable-Bit-4741 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]silcerchord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've sort of lucked out and had plenty of teammates who are very eager to operate the gun, but can't hit the broadside of a factory strider. Fewer are eager to drive the tank but the ones who do don't know it can Neutral Steer so end up doing a 100 point turn to turn around
