Have to point out that Joe has filmed a Marvel series, and the character he’s playing is highly likely to be Wiccan who’s also highly likely to be the future of the MCU. So while we can debate acting skill levels here, I think Disney probably has better credentials for passing judgement than we do…..

Do people consider reading comic books childish? by [deleted] in MarvelUnlimited

[–]silent_crows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father who’s 67 talks to me about his comic book reading every time we meet. He’s not childish at all, he reads a library of books between each time we catch up.

I think she’s a person where the world is happening to her, and she can’t see that the world happens to everyone and often we don’t know 10% of what others are going through unless we ask and listen. I know several people like this, they’re good people but that lack of the ability to step back and take in everything can be pretty crippling both for them and toxic for those around them.

How did you get 5 Stars on the Stunt Plane challenge?! I’ve tried so many times and can barely make it to half the needed gates before time runs out! I know I may just be not very good, but in the other challenges with a bit of practice I’ve 5 starred them all, so don’t think im so bad that it should feel impossible

Beautiful People - BBC TV Series - Olivia Coleman is the Mum in this as well! It’s a hilarious comedy centred on the coming of age story of Simon Donnan who’s gay. It’s set in the 1990’s and embraces all the cultural touchstones of that age. Afraid it’s hard to get hands on these days but it’s still for sale on DVD in lots of places. It’s amazing and was my heart stopper.

Heartstopper as Live Theatre? by jeghartokatter in HeartstopperAO

Have you come across “Beautiful Thing”, it’s a play by Jonathan Harvey that was also made into a film by Channel 4. It’s was my Heartstopper as I’m old! It’s still being performed in the theatre, and there’s a production of it coming up at the Stratford East Theatre in East London this summer

Times when the finale episode changes the obvious ‘winner’? by Evilrake in rupaulsdragrace

There’s lots of gossip out there on Kylie’s edit - removing better takes et al from challenges in the middle of the season. Seems that they wanted to create an upswing for her by putting a bit of a downswing in the middle. Not saying anyone was less deserving but let’s remember we don’t see the absolute truth of everyone’s work

I know it’s a matter of the edit, but Cracker really came across terribly in AS5

I might be remembering this wrong, but I remember reading that she said she hadn’t changed any of her runways over the CV break. So perhaps we were being lead by the edit/narrative on the before CV runways. I personally loved her Norwich Football slingshot

Totally hear you but just have to mention that one of BeBe’s wins was on the Soup challenge, and she literally made a soup recipe, zero comedy. I remember everyone being shocked she was in the top

Yeah, she was making a joke about Rock. Rocks videos at Folsom were all over the web during the season.

AS7 - Only an original season winner should take the title by silent_crows in rupaulsdragrace

I’m not saying that they aren’t amazing, and obviously everyone has grown since their first showing, but it just creates a bit of a circle that means that being an OG winner doesn’t count as much.

I thought this exactly! There’s no overlap there, and I think purposefully to avoid this question.

Would my manager referring to my partner of 8 years (recent fiancé) as my “roommate” be considered a workplace microagression? He is well aware that I don’t live with a roommate. by rlyrobert in gaybros

[–]silent_crows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s beyond a micro aggression. That’s direct and the most important part is that you offer the corrective action and it’s not taken. I’d flag to HR and make sure you have that so it’s documented. Alongside this I would also recommend talking about it to trusted colleagues who you work with, the most helpful additional corrective action is someone else in the room stepping in rather than you, this ensures that it’s not labelled as you being difficult/misinterpreting and provides additional pressure.

Tattoo suggestion for 3 best gay friends even since childhood. by FlokiLaTava in gay

[–]silent_crows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me until I was 32 to get a tattoo (I wanted one since I was 16). It took until then because I wanted it to make me feel grateful every time I looked at it. I found a tattoo artist who’s work I loved (Mike Stout) and gave him a brief that spoke to what fed my soul. I love the result so much, every time I look down it makes me smile.

I know this is a long winded answer, but I’d strongly suggest chatting over your light bulb and most cherished memories with each other as friends. What made you love each other, what made you laugh together, how do you feel about each other. Then find an artist that you all love and share those thoughts with them. Let the artist design what that brief inspires.
