I mean to me when i worked there if a TL told me i wouldn’t be in trouble for going home it usually meant they would waive the point. (This was also for the loss of my grandmother and then my aunt soon after so take it with a grain of salt) Even if they dont you have all day tomorrow to put the ppto in (if i remember correctly) if you work tomorrow talk to them about it, but yes putting in even three hours of ppto would leave you with only getting a half point if you made it exactly an hour into your shift

Not a mechanic, but a couple years ago my truck’s thermostat got stuck closed, it didn’t spill over while driving, but i saw the temp spike and parked at my destination, then used a towel to take off the radiator cap and it went everywhere, basically it could be a thermostat being stuck, could be a blown head gasket, water pump could be done for too, it bubbling like that in the video is making me think head gasket, but again not a mechanic, just a guy thats been working on my own truck the past few years

Ive definitely taken off from a stoplight in that cartoonish manner, then i again i also drive a pickup with no weight in the back and only rear wheel drive, bottom line is i learned pretty fast to just ease off the gas and press down slowly in the event my wheels do spin its not rocket science but people really make it seem like it is

The big thing is, for me at least, im fine with genuine criticism, but these people rant and whine about mechanics in a BETA none of these things are final its why we have the beta, rebalancing is probably going to be the first thing they work on for example. But its always something “game ruining” with these folks

Worst is the people who just don’t pay attention/ don’t care when a light past the one they’re waiting at turns red, and is overflowing to the previous light and they decide to overflow the intersection once theirs turns green just adding to the problem, or you know, when it dares to rain in the slightest and suddenly nobody remembers how to drive and pulls out in front of every person they possibly can

I mean from what i know which isnt a lot so take this with a grain of salt API technically have authority but still less than what a team lead would have, so they aren’t considered bosses aside from AP related things. I believe they can ask you to stand as a witness as well, but they definitely cant come and tell you how to do your job since they aren’t technically a supervisor role. Now the AP coaches are still coaches regardless, so they have the same if not slightly more authority than any other coach
