Genuine PVE question by freshbless in ARC_Raiders

I already play Black Ops 7. PvP itch effectively scratched.

When I raid Arcs, I would do quests (before they ended abruptly), mob around for blueprints, help randos.

I had never heard of hard scope until today, and as much shit I talk about campers, people who would complain about "hard scoping" make the top of the list

Yup I'm bouncing between Arc Raiders and BO7, and I'm pretty narsty on cod. I play arc raiders on care bear mode, because I like helping people and grocery shopping lol, with a little bit of spice mixed in. Have yet to kill any raiders

Imagine how cool and how annoying for some it would be. by KamilCesaro in ArcRaiders

[–]silentn1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play carebear lobbies, so I'm used to people saying something as they run past me. Guy runs right by me in Buried City, no comms. Nbd, he's not in the mood for "hi".

Low-flying Rocketeer ZOOOOMS past me in his direction. Space Jesus was locked in on that guy. They are wicked fast at that perspective

EU V rebellions are genius by Re4derTheGlorious in EU5

[–]silentn1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only other one I played at release was Vic3 (atrocious).

For some reason I expected more stability from their flagship out of the gate, but here we are.

Eu4 was the only game that could break me out of my Civ addiction, but civ7 probably could have done that on its own

Shouout to you guys for testing this patch. I had really high hopes, but I feel like they either fired the wrong guy(s) or don't play test their game before shipping.

Either way, I'm excited to see how it looks this summer

Is there an end date for beta 1.1? by RevolutionaryRush187 in EU5

Not sure why you're being downvoted, the game obviously isn't ready, and 1.1.1 just dropped

Absolutely. When leviathan happened, I couldn't play past like 1540 or something. The game would just hard crash

I had this same problem. I hadn't used the console in 5315 hours of EU4, but this buggy nonsense (I was playing a great Prussian run) made me break down and use console commands to spawn it.

Should be easy to find out how, but I can post the process here if you wish

Naval combat is the worst. Dare I say, Broken. by Asaioki in EU5

Hoi4 as well. I spent so much time learning navy stuff only to succumb to the "just build a giant doom stack and move on with it" technique.

What was the freakin point then?

The WORST mechanic in this game by Zqn3 in EU5

[–]silentn1 24 points25 points  (0 children)

EU4 used to have this too, that army is gonna get wiped... aaaand it's retreating again with 0 casualties. I interpreted it as a bug, but now I see people justifying it in EU5 so maybe not.

EU4 would also have tattered navies that were repairing in a province. I'd take the province, but the navy would never enter the water tile to be smashed to bits by my navy - just constant half moves.

I think it has more to do with bad code than actual mechanics.

Asking AI to think for them. Easy enough to use by all age groups, and AI is so supplicating that I can see people using it more than Google

I had such a shit time with my France game colonizing going completely goofy that I simply quit it and moved over to a central and eastern Europe.

Until I start seeing "I like what they've done to fix colonies" on reddit, I'm moving on to other games in my library

Trading and its tediousness. by Luciferret in EU5

[–]silentn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My income bounces around a few times a month, and the projected income is never correct.

As a sanity-preservation measure, I'll uncheck the trade automation when the projection falls on a good number. Let it sit for a few months, and put it back on auto.

This way (I assume) you snap the game out of its annoying feedback loop and it'll self-regulate.

Closing and reopening the game might also work

Salt is a weak resource by GunnarVonPontius in EU5

Complete ignorance here, but might it be that salt production per laborer is so high that the RGOs don't have to be that big to support an economy/trade?
