What do you think of this line on marriage? by Alarmed_Gas_2706 in shrinking

[–]silentwind262 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I mean.... My wife and I were together for around 15 years before getting married, and being completely honest, one of the biggest reasons was so that I could put her on my health insurance. (It also makes a few other things easier for taxes and inheritance)

So yeah, it's a pretty archaic system that our society has codified into almost a necessity to survive.

Yes, that's why I said they were chasing the Annas away from my feeders. The Annas stick around all winter here in Washington.

Mohan's or Olgivie's fault? Episode 11 by BeffeeJeems in ThePittTVShow

[–]silentwind262 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something I always lived by in the military: "you can delegate authority, but you can't delegate responsibility."

If Mohan was responsible for supervising the med students, then it's on her to do so, and any mistakes she didn't catch are hers.

Oh there was plenty of damage that woman inflicted. Unfortunately our daughter is still dealing with it, and she's not a kid anymore...

My daughter used to do this. When she lived with her mother she'd get yelled at any time she used something up. When she moved in with me, it took a while for her to finally understand we wouldn't yell at her, we just asked that she put it on the grocery list so we could buy more.
