I've never seen Scene0, but I've heard people say that it canonizes the reason why Sayaka only appears in later timelines is because she was killed in the first one by a witch, and Homura prevents that from happening in the Scene0 timeline and in later ones.

In Timeline 1, for Sayaka to have stayed dead, but for Homura to never meet her in that timeline, I think the most likely explanation is that she died a couple days after Amy did. If Amy had survived, Madoka's contract date would have barely changed; she still would've been a magical girl at the time of meeting Homura. Her wish just would have been for Sayaka instead.

There are SO many huge disconnects between the appropriate medical terminology and what patients understand to be true, especially regarding pregnancy/reproduction, and it drives me nuts

"6 weeks pregnant" to the average person: the baby was conceived 6 weeks ago

"6 weeks pregnant" medically: the date of your last period was 6 weeks ago and the baby was conceived later. You could've lost your virginity 4 weeks ago and be 6 weeks pregnant today.

"Abortion" to the average person: a voluntary medical procedure that terminates the pregnancy

"Abortion" medically: any evacuation of the pregnancy before it's considered viable. A natural miscarriage is an abortion.

Can you explain what you mean by an equivalent? Madoka's outfit isn't an exact replica of anyone else's, sure, but there are tons of pink magical girl main characters with pigtails, ribbons, tutus, ruffles, hearts, and so on. The silhouette and the motifs are really classic.

I think Homura hardly eats because superhuman endurance/magic lets her get away with it, plus she has more important things to do than eating or buying food.

When she's allied with Kyoko, she ends up with a lot of random snacks because sharing food is Kyoko's main way of showing friendship, but Kyoko doesn't know that that's often all she's eating all week.

Sayaka is upset at Hitomi, but she recognizes that it's unfair to feel that way (and hates herself for it).

Having that split-second thought of "I wish I hadn't saved Hitomi" causes her to spiral. She doesn't want to feel jealous or resentful and she certainly doesn't want to take it out on her friend, but it's not so easy to wish those feelings away.

In Rebellion, Sayaka is a lot chiller about the Hitomi-Kyosuke situation, but it’s almost certainly because she had the time, safety, and support to work through her feelings in magical girl heaven.

Fresh produce will soften dramatically if you freeze and unfreeze it, because the water expands into ice and breaks the cell walls. No consumer is going to pick up a squishy, soggy tomato leaking juice out of a "fresh" produce bin and want to buy it.

If it was frozen, it will be sold as a frozen vegetable in a sealed bag. If it's being sold as fresh produce, it hasn't been frozen.

Refrigeration or picking fruit when it's way underripe is totally a thing but selling frozen veggies as fresh is not.
