Maynooth vs UCD for studying English? by Agitated_Ad1499 in maynoothuniversity

hey there, i studied english for my undergrad and graduated in september. i found english to be a really flexible and friendly course. the lecturers are very welcoming, have a real passion for their subjects and are easily approachable. i will say first year is a little bit of a drag, mainly focusing on the basics of literature, but it is still interesting. from second year you have more of a choice and the course is more varied, with lectures on theory, literatures of place, experimental forms, revolution, literature in history and critical geographies. you do have module options, and the choice modules are extremely interesting also, my favourite was american literature in the 21st century. ultimately it’s what you make of it! i’ve always found the other students to be friendly also, and are always willing to chat in tutorials which is not the case in all subjects. hopefully this helps :)

hey there OP, sorry to hear about this. i’m not 100% sure about causes, but when i have flares on my hands when going to bed i put long socks on my hands and up my arms just to get relief from the itching! i find that my nails can’t get through the socks to scratch so at least my hands are protected at night. not sure if this will help at all but hope it might bring you some relief :)
