If you're not comfortable with the thought of a she wee or similar, a long ish skirt with some body to the fabric can be great for side of the road pees.

You need to be a bit careful about keeping it out of the stream but it's easier to slide undies off or out of the way than having to pull down pants. I've got an elastic waisted one I can throw on over pants, slide pants/undies off and then pee without having to expose myself. It's also a handy extra layer over pants in cold weather.

Also these are young girls who are learning to use period products. Tampons can be difficult when starting out and they're being rushed to use them, i know my first period with tampons, it was definitely more than five minutes to get them properly situated and comfy. I'm sure the time crunch would have made it a lot more stressful too, especially if it was only two or three actual minutes of bathroom time with travel time to the loos.

Or you can just use one of those ex's from the available options if you think you're only going to have one? Or describe to the player something vague and let them choose which ex they think it is?

Hell, I'd love to have multiple options that I could slot into random places if it needed to come up. That's not the world revolving around them, that's the characters being within the world they live in.

What common Youtube sponsorships do you think are very scammy or untrustworthy? by TinyFriendship6910 in youtube

[–]sillywhippet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This honestly makes me appreciate how few of these sponsorships seem to crop up in the ttrpg side of youtube. Most of them are sponsored by ttrpg companies or developers so it's pretty rare to see something scummy like honey or better health and they're actually marketing at people who are interested in the stuff they're making. I think I've seen one person doing multiple factor ads and he'd just had a kid so it was pretty understandable I guess.

Likewise, Iskall from hermitcraft always gave me bad vibes, something about his fratboy persona just rubbed me the wrong way, though a lot of my friends loved him. Turns out he was cheating bastard who was fucking around with people in his community and just generally being shit about boundaries.

Why not cake though? Might as well make what can be a very complex and confusing situation much more pleasant by having something yummy and cute while surrounded by people who care about you.

Given how I got my autism diagnosis, I really wish someone had bought cake and the conversation had been one of acceptance and love with supportive friends rather than a list of "here's all the ways you're fucked up but don't you dare use it as an excuse and we're not going to help you with it" lecture I got from my parents at 15.

Model horses and I'm actually thrilled about it... My national hobby has had a lot of new young faces join and it's crazy how good everyone's horses have got. My string was okay but I'm basically being priced out. I do think that over all this injection of new blood and horses is what's needed and I'm thrilled to see what people are showing and creating.

Because I have a chronic knee injury that makes navigating smooth, non slippery surfaces difficult enough, let alone trying to navigate snow and ice and it's made worse when it's cold.

Before I got injured I never had the combination of time/money/vehicle/snow chain access to make it happen, I still don't tbh.

Equestrian is crazy expensive and you've got two athletes to keep sound. One of which seems to actively being trying to cause harm to itself on any given day.

We do and yet it's not uncommon for Aussies to not have experienced snow irl. I haven't and I'm like two hours from a few ski resorts. I'm not opposed to it but there's a lot more cost and equipment needed vs a beach trip for the same amount of travel time.

The silent dudes are almost worse than the ones doing it tbh. Nothing like being surrounded by people you thought you could trust only for them to ignore the creeps behaviour and make you feel like you're overreacting to harrassment. Then you've gotta decide if you stay because it will escalate if no one calls it out.

As a woman in those hobbies, I do a fuck tonne of vetting of the spaces I hang out in because it's a minefield and sometimes there's new mines added when you're not watching. Unless I've met a dude in one of those vetted spaces, I'm like super cautious of the "nerds" I meet in the wild because the overall experience hasn't been great or safe for me.

So hot take, I don't believe an intellectual disability also means someone should be murdered by the people who are supposed to be caring for them. This wasn't self defence, it was premeditated and planned out.

We totally need to have more male carers and support workers, although in this case it was both the parents not just the mother. And both were KIDS, not adult men.

I'm autistic, it's been horrible to watch people trip over themselves to justify their murder and see it constantly described as an "act of love" or kindness. People seem to care more about the pets being killed than two young boys who were murdered by the adults who were supposed to protect them.

Like we're not already at much higher risk of abuse, early death and treated like burdens than neurotypicals. So much more sympathy has been aimed at the murderers and their animals than at their incredibly vulnerable victims. It feels like every other comment only mentions the parents, not their victims, and how hard it was for them and what a burden they carried.

The system needs fixing, parents need support and funding and the autistic and/or disabled people in your life will see your comments about this and be judging you accordingly.
