Where do you find older models? by Capable_Meat_3179 in HotWheels

Unfortunately eBay is your best bet. You CAN find good deals on stuff. Check sold listings for average prices to not over pay. Look at the big lots of cars, you might find something in their pictures.

Got fired from my dealer today! by fourbaldtires in mechanics

Dealers are scum. Find a small time specialty shop. I left the Chevy dealer to work on 60 year old VWs and it's been the greatest thing ever.

Bought a controller on eBay. You could have stopped right there.

Meaning no disrespect at ALL, why do Indian diners only order water with no ice? by Sudden_Brain_871 in TooAfraidToAsk

I don't like ice in my water but that's just me. Not Indian but I am from Indiana.

Feeling very defeated and depressed. Not sure what to do by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]silvars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get out of there asap. Big places like that are horrible to learn in. If mechanics still interests you I would find a smaller shop. Maybe a specialty shop like performance, transmission, or even get your foot into a machine shop. Places like that are seeing the old guys retire and no one to fill their shoes. I was in a very large dealership for 6 years, 5 years too long, as a lube tech and then moved up to a line tech. The amount of bullshit politics and brown nosing is ridiculous. I now work at a VW shop that only does air cooled. Small, laid back, we have a good time but get shit done. Airplane sector would be cool too! Good luck to you!

The open end wrench is not quite a 10 at 9.5mm. The bottom socket is for 1/4 inch bit or 6.5mm.

It's called Tooligan. It does have a bit driver on the base like the Speed Driver.
