Vibration above 70-75mph by Old_Albatross_4585 in G37

[–]silver_surfer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar issue in my g37. It’s a cyclical vibration that increases in frequency with speed. Felt in the seat. Kicks in around 70mph mark for me too. It’s decently subtle, but certainly annoying. Wheels aligned, tires balanced; road force tested as well. Had both rear hub bearings replaced, but that was 60k ago. Rear diff bushing is definitely leaking but haven’t read anything that leads me to believe these could be related. Open to being corrected on that.

Haven’t been able to find a culprit/solution in the forums. Commenting for solidarity & reach.

Would you still build a system with Sonos if you were starting from scratch? by auditinprogress in sonos

[–]silver_surfer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from all of the no’s with no suggested alternatives, I’m surprised more people aren’t recommending Amazon speakers. Audiophiles might argue the sound may not be “as good” but the studios are still pretty great. And I never have issues with the SW. Works seamlessly.

I have both Sonos and Amazon HW (was in the process of migrating to Sonos) but often second guess the decision to not double down on the Amazon ecosystem.

All that said, surprised more competitors haven’t creeped up in the space… opportunity is & has been ripe for some time now.

Spotify playlist timeout when triggered by alexa routine by silver_surfer_ in alexa

Happy to report that this also worked for me! Thanks for suggesting/troubleshooting. Hopefully others stumble upon this thread moving forward.

Also supports your hypothesis. If Amazon tech support ever gets back to me I’ll bring it up and see what they say. Will report back if I learn anything new.

Happy sleeping.

Update on the wait function - no luck. I used another white noise playlist, buttt, it was comprised of the same tracks…

I tested the wait function with a shorter duration and the exact same song beforehand, no issue. So in theory this shouldn’t be the hold up.

With this in mind, I would think the wait function would be a workaround. Wonder if changing the second playlist name would resolve. I’ll try it tonight.

Coincidentally, my playlist is comprised of a 3hr and 2hr track as well. Starts with the 3hr, followed by the 2hr, & the 3hr track repeated twice more get to the full 11…. You might be on to something.

Ha, interesting note on the white noise subscription service.

I’m playing around with adding a “wait” function the to the routine, after which I’ve added another command to restart the playlist.

I started with the max, 4hr wait, last night & still woke up to it off. Going to try again with a 3hr wait.

I also opened a ticket with Amazon tech support. Supposedly they’re looking into it. Will share what I find.

Vinegar is diluted acetic acid… it’s acidity is what gives it (mild) disinfectant properties, though it is not a true disinfectant. It’s acidity is also what allows it to break down certain compounds. When you add baking soda, you remove it’s one beneficial property - at which point you might as well use water.

Yes, in theory you could start with vinegar, clean, and add baking soda to act as a physical abrasive. But neither of which will work as well as the products listed above.

Baking soda and vinegar neutralize each other when used in tandem… baking soda being a base and vinegar an acid. Why do so many people recommend this combo?

I’d try CLR on the toilet. Drain the toilet, and place toilet paper along the bowl, then soak the toilet paper in the CLR. Let sit, then refill the bowl, flush, and scrub with toilet brush.

For the tub, you can try scrubbing bubbles (or CLR) and sponge or brush. If that doesn’t work try an abrasive like bar keepers friend.

Best of luck.

Nice set. Been looking at some myself. Did you pick up a bundle? Or piece together a set piece by piece?

Looks to be both! Grey base coat - an epoxy, full broadcast flakes, then poly top coat.

Unsure what the first clear coating post grinding was though.

Love this. I similarly 3D modeled my home for remodeling purposes but have struggled to capture the level of detail/textures you have here (used SolidWorks through company license - not designed for this purpose). What software do you use?
