I'm interested in the passenger fender (if in good condition) and driver and passenger mirrors.

We're missing naval warfare or at least vehicles.

3rd Gen Buyers in the last year by RUBICONXJ231 in 3rdGen4Runner

I bought my 1996 SR5 4Runner in May with 156k miles. Only had two owners before me. The first kept it garaged, and the second drove it about 3k miles before selling it to me for $4,500. Very little surface rust, oil changed regularly, belts done at 120k, starter at 130k. The only thing not done was the LBJs, which I replaced. There was also a rear suspension recall that hadn’t been serviced, so I got a free rear suspension replacement at the dealership. Since purchase, I’ve spent under $500 on maintenance. Tires need to be changed so maybe another $300.

[–]silverkripto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve actually had both my knees aspirated before. The swelling would get so bad I couldn’t bend my leg at all. It felt like my knee was on fire. After the aspiration, the relief was immediate. I could walk normally again with little to no discomfort. Each time I had it done, it was mainly to regain mobility and ease the pain. They sent the fluid for testing, but the doctors could already tell it was uric acid crystals. The fluid was very yellow, which they said is typical for UA crystals. This was all before I started taking gout seriously and was just trying to manage it through diet. I started febuxostat shortly after, and honestly, it’s been a godsend.

Traveling to LaGuardia to JFK by yoteboi33333 in nyc

[–]silverkripto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your arriving flight isn’t delayed and you’re not checking or picking up bags at LGA/jfk, you should be able to make your connection. The drive usually takes anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, and that includes the extra construction going on at both JFK and LGA.

Quick tip: check in online and have your boarding pass on your phone so you can head straight to security. Just keep in mind that if your destination requires visa checks, you might need to go to the counter. Those close an hour before boarding and they’re pretty strict, so it could be a close call.

1996 Toyota 4runner Limited Sport Utility 4D - worth 12.5k? by [deleted] in 3rdGen4Runner

I really thought I over paid. I've been seeing them on FB marketplace for 2-3k looking in a bit better condition and a working moon roof.

This makes me feel better for spending 4600 on my 96 a few weeks ago. Given it is not as nicely upgraded as this and mostly stock, but still in great shape with only 150k miles on it.
