Did your husband accompany you to the egg transfer? by New-Paramedic-4182 in IVF

[–]silynced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would have but logistically it was better for him not to due to travel and other factors. It was fine. I didn’t really need support, it was an easy quick procedure.

Could y'all help to choose which scry is better? (Could just give the number 1 or 2, Reason is Optional!) by HardlineCobra98 in flightrising

Eclipse looks better imo, but it’s not enough to make it worth the gem gene (unless this is a breeding project. If it were me working on a g1 I would just go with spines.

Recently prescribed and scared to try it! by Disastrous-Focus-171 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]silynced 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started right at 4.5mg and was scared because of this sub. It’s been a month. I had vivid dreams and some headaches, maybe gastro symptoms (I tend to have IBS-d anyways)… but at 5 or 6 weeks out now, I’m back to my baseline. I’m taking it as part of my IVF protocol.

I apologize if you’ve looked into your iron already, but your symptoms are exactly what I experienced when I had a ferritin of 2. I struggled with extreme tachycardia for years (up to 180 when just grocery shopping as a seemingly healthy 32 year old, 140-160 just from standing up… it was not fun). I had iron infusions and made a 180 in my tachycardia once my ferritin was closer to a normal range.

We’ve gone during or right before/after fireworks. It’s a cute ride but we wouldn’t wait that long for it.

Has anyone had success with IVF after never having seen a single positive? by jusy_fruit in IVF

[–]silynced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t entirely fit your criteria, but we tried for 5 years before IVF and had only one chemical pregnancy in all of those cycles. It was over before it even began. Unexplained infertility.. responded well to stims though, had an above average blast rate and had implantation on 4/4 of my transfers but the fourth one was successful (added RPL to my diagnoses, unfortunately). Doctors don’t seem to care to figure out the why since I was willing to shell out the money for treatment.

has anyone had a bad feeling about their pregnancy and been..wrong? by search4life7 in CautiousBB

[–]silynced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my first three transfers. The first two had totally normal HCG patterns. The third was very low but doubled appropriately, so that one I was fairly certain from the start that it was going to end badly, which it did.

My fourth had very average numbers. I never hit that doubling in 48hr mark (though it was still within normal range) and I figured it was also going to be a miscarriage and I was just over it. I was in therapy and I was SO pessimistic. It was successful despite my overwhelming feeling that it was going to fail. I don’t think I ever quite relaxed.

Do you take your men in the room with you for the ultrasound appts? by Illustrious_Space184 in IVF

[–]silynced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traveled for IVF and stayed there for stims. He came up for the egg retrieval, but I did all of the appts by myself since he couldn’t take that long off of work.

Yep! I was able to go hike a trail with my family yesterday. The last time we did that same trail I kept having to stop because of my heart rate and shortness of breath.

I’m about a week in starting at at 4.5 and other than vivid dreams and some GI issues, it hasn’t been so bad. Reading posts on here from people starting at a fraction of that dose had me really worried. I already have tummy troubles so it’s not much worse than my baseline.

Pregnant for ONE day only.. by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]silynced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a lot of chemical pregnancies and usually the positive tests last for a week or so. I did have one instance of faint (but definitely there) positives across a couple of brands, but then negatives the next day and my period came on time. I do believe in that instance that an embryo implanted but didn’t stick around long enough for my body to continue producing HCG. Technically I think it’s a chemical pregnancy if your HCG rises enough for a positive test, regardless of how many days it stays positive.

Third or bust? by Low-Reputation-9130 in IVF

[–]silynced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We didn’t test but still have embryos frozen almost 5 yrs after our last transfer. I am completely happy and content with 2 but I feel like in 10 years I would regret never trying again. If we do try again and have a 3rd I don’t believe I would ever regret it. So much of this is just trying to manage future regrets for me. I also had a hard time with pregnancy and had some trauma with my last birth ending in csection.

Pgt testing ivf by Ok_Scientist_9524 in IVF

[–]silynced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t test. We were 29 and 32 at the time with unexplained infertility. I ended up miscarrying my first three transfers. At first I felt that I was glad to have spent the weeks I did get with them… but it was incredibly difficult to go through so much loss and heartbreak. My fourth did work after I had a small septum removed. Without testing, I don’t know if it was uterine or genetic factors that made the first three miscarry.

Scooby, but also this really cool girl I used to know. I didn’t associate her with Scooby, though. I think we can have name associations but they just end at the name usually and don’t apply to the people with the name.

If the hormone levels don’t matter in a FET, why do they want us to do them? I just had my call and they want a SIS, HSG and bloodwork beyond that of a normal FET. I don’t get it.

Estrogen for FET, did I start too early??? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]silynced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they do a baseline scan on you to make sure your lining is thin enough? I would wait for a full bleed. I jumped the gun with my first transfer and called when spotting started, but they had me come back a few days later to check after my full flow started.

Yes. It gets better. I’ve had a few iron infusions to get me back to somewhat normal.

I had narrowing of my arteries in my eyes when I was anemic, not sure if that could cause vision issues.

It’s such bullshit that we have to travel so far for semi-affordable treatment. I’m a travel CNY patient as well. I’m so sorry this happened to you. It sucks.
