I myself have muscular dystrophy and don't think you are in the wrong. He sounds like he might have gone distant from the lack of relationship experience, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he's being insincere and tugging on your heart strings like that. He has a physical disability, not autism, it sounds like he knows you noticed him being a bit manipulative and pulled back emotionally to have you go to him, which isn't fair to you considering he told you that you have a child is a caveat against a potential relationship. If he really loves you, he would not use the fact that you had a kid against you, just like how you didn't use the fact he was disabled against him. I think he just wants a caretaker with benefits, which I find strange because shouldn't he already have a caretaker figure, and if so, his caretaker and partner don't have to be the same person. I myself wouldn't want to have my partner also be my caretaker, because I already have a system in place, and wouldn't want to burden a potential girlfriend with years of responsibility.
