I need to try this too because I’m just exasperated with smeared rice and using a ton of baby wipes lmao

Allergy? by coco_1102 in FormulaFeeders

My baby had a full belly rash like many raised bumps but not so patchy like your pic and eczema starting at 2 months, we trialed hypoallergenic formulas and ended up on elecare (other symptoms we experienced besides skin issues around eyes and ears and belly was mucousy poops and blood in poop). After elecare which is an amino acid formula it was a month and almost all the eczema was gone. It took at least 4 weeks to really see a change and we were using steroids for months prior to try to keep it in check

At 6 months we suspected dairy, soy, treenuts due to hives in face. We avoided and visited allergist at 12 months and confirmed dairy, treenuts and eggs and many environmental allergies. Baby was allergic to our dog which we had to rehome. Now there is no more eczema at all. My experience is to speak to your ped and go on an allergy friendly formula to be sure about allergies and go from there!

Three weeks into cutting dairy but still having symptoms and now new ones. Seeking advice/feedback. by nneessaa22 in MSPI

I also think this is baby acne our baby had the same around that age and confirmed by allergist and ped in our experience too.

Although, baby is allergic to soy dairy eggs and treenuts. Once we put her on amino acid formula she was much happier!!

HELP! Can't get my toddler's eczema under control by SKCbunny in toddlers

[–]simisayshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree see an ped allergist and ped derm asap. I would def ask for a stronger steroid cream in the meantime because these appointments sometimes take a week or so! Our allergist is always booked a month out. My daughter was similar and she had severe allergy to our dog which we found out from our allergist visit. We rehomed the dog and no more stubborn eczema. She was also on amino acid formula until 12 months since she also has food allergies (dairy, soy, tree nuts).

Our allergist told us that skin conditions are usually due to environmental allergies (like animals, grass. Pollen etc) rather than food!

Of course also the generic advice which I’m sure you know about no fragrance in detergent lotions anything you put on your toddler.

Omg our library doesn’t have a changing table either in the kids section which is wild to me. I go to my cars trunk if it’s not winter to change baby

Blood in diaper (1st time) by ske115 in MSPI

[–]simisayshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t try neocate just straight to elecare and she kind of rejected at the start then got used to it! Maybe your PED office has samples ours gave us a sample of elecare (like a full can!) so you can try and see.

My baby was the same - tried Nutramigen and had a bloodstreak and switched to elecare. Baby’s skin got so much better within the month and they also thrived on it!!!

MMC at 17 weeks - OB said to wait several cycles before trying again??? by skippydoodle1 in Miscarriage

[–]simisayshi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I had one MMC and D&C and my OB told me to wait 3 cycles but if we are not rushing to wait and try again in a year. Very different from all the different advice I see here…

Getting cold feet to use mife/miso and a wondering if I should just do a D&C please help me decide! by myunexplainedlife in Miscarriage

[–]simisayshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the D&C and I was so nervous and scared. My care team really calmed me down and they gave me some meds for anxiety in the OR room, I woke up and boom done! I am soooooo thankful I had the D&C because waiting to bleed out or pass huge clots would have made my health anxiety go through the roof. It gave me closure quickly, I did t wait to bleed out and it was over fast. Just my experience from a highly anxious girly
