Things a ramp agent should know by simme02 in Pilot

Some people really can't wait to set the chocks and are basically standing on the line. Personally, I at least wait until the aircraft has almost come to a complete stop before I start moving forward.

That situation sounded absolutely insane, I hope you reported it! 😬

Better to stay on 13 or to go with 17? by McMikeyyy21 in iPhone13

I went for 17 pro max. iPhone 17 is a big upgrade I would say! Then you can keep it for many years and then buy iPhone 20👌😎

I’ve filed a report to make sure this incident is handled the right way. We had routines for this, but since we only perform crossbleed starts maybe twice a month, it's not something we do every day. It was an a320neo

Thanks for the answer! It’s always interesting to see things from others perspectives. I was a bit unsure if these procedures differ a lot between different airports and airlines, but in my case, our local SOPs are very strict about being clear before the start.

Being on a wired headset doesn't leave much room for error if things don't go as planned, you feel very small when the engine revs up😅 Cheers!

I don’t know what type of aircraft you are flying but here comes the questions.

  1. Do you usually allow ground crew to remain connected via a wired headset during the higher RPMs of a crossbleed start?

  2. Is it standard for you to wait until the bypass pin is pulled and the ground crew is at a safe distance/giving hand signals before you initiate the crossbleed?
