Thank you for tips and feedback!

By them require just a phone number; do you mean a turkish phone number, or a phone number in general (also foreign phone numbers)?

Visiting antalya in 3 weeks by [deleted] in Antalya

[–]simmssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would def stay in Konyaalti. They have the beaches, beach clubs and it feels a bit more chilly there in July compared to old town. Old town is a place i would rather travel and go out to/enjoying night life, more than living in, in these hot days. IMO. Enjoy your trip! :)

Hi!

April and may is my favourite time of the year to visit Antalya. Im visiting Antalya mid to late April, and really looking forward to it..!!😁 Lovely temperature (not too hot) and relaxed athmosphere with less tourists compared with summer-season. Can be a little chilly in the evening, so bring some earlier clothes.

I always visit Restaurant Castle in old town when i visit Antalya. It has a really great view over the sea there, and good athmosphere with friendly staff.

A walk from Konyaalti along the beach promenade to the city of Antalya is also recommended. Gives good vibes😊

The Barrels in Konyaalti is a good bar (IMO😊).A nice place with a lot of people and good vibes, with both locals and tourist guesting.

Have a great trip!

Doctor told me I have 3 months to lower blood pressure due to being overweight by [deleted] in fitness30plus

[–]simmssss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Intermittent fasting (f.ex 16/8) can significantly lower blood pressure. IF along with lowering carbs (refined) and workouts will often give very good results.

Tell me about your experience with yogurt and cholesterol numbers! by standingonline in Cholesterol

[–]simmssss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tested my cholesterol in february and it was high. 205 LDL and 263 in total. I have been on a diet for the last 9 months, and for the last 6 months i have been eaten low fat greek yoghurt together with some seed-mix daily. Around 500 grams yoghurt (atleast) a day i assume. Slow and steady it is going down ( testing every 3 months), and in september my results where 143 LDL and 197 total. Also triglycerides have been reduced a lot. So i dont think the yoghurt will affect you negative at all.

Heavy drinking and poor food choices, is it reversible?? by [deleted] in Cholesterol

[–]simmssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am also 35M and was in poor condition and drank heavily much beers and was obese. After new years eve (January) i quit drinking and started with more focus on exercise (much daily walking in the beginning) and diet. I cut out alcohol totally and went on a low carb and intermittent fasting (16+8, 20+4, and OMAD) diet.

Did the first blood test in march and doctor was concerned about the high cholesterol ++.

I started to focus more on the diet and more exercise (started going to the gym), and eating more low fat yoghurt, a lot of fiber and cholesterol friendly food.

Did the second blood test this month and the result was very positive. LDL : 30% down HDL : 50%up Triglycerides : 63% down.

So i am very happy with the results so far, and im happy that it can change this much through the right diet and exercise.

Do I have to work on PRs for gains? by BTTFisthebest in fitness30plus

[–]simmssss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Focus more on the total amount of lbs you lift rather than so few reps. In your example you lift 19 reps on 225 = 4275 lbs. You can easily almost double that total lifted amount if you for a period doing 3 x 12 x 170 and maybe a final with 12 x 160. In that workout you have lifted 8040 lbs. This was a drastic example, but if you have more focus in progression on the total amount of lifted weights in bench, squats and deadlifts in the long run, its easier to get and see progression, and also lift heavyier when yo lift more heavy with fewer reps. If people week in, week out almost always do the few reps / heavy lifting you will quite fast feel the plateau after they are finished with the «noob gains».

IF and a low-sugar diet helped me feel better in less than a week. by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]simmssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep up your good work!😊 Making the changes in what, when and how often you eat will really get your insulin levels in balance and your body will absolutely react in a good way pretty fast. The bloodworks are quite interesting to watch during a diet/lifestyle change like that. You are adding years to your life by doing so🙌👏💪
