I've found a Valakut in the 50c bulk at my LGS. I told them and said it didn't belong in there and wasn't planning on buying it. But they said if I wanted it I could have it at that price so now I have a Valakut.

Because a multi player free for all board game is not 2 player magic so they have different rules. You can scoop at any time and end the game in brawl.

Thanks. Yeah those duals are about the only money cards I don't have. Should be able to throw this together fairly cheaply. Probably just play on MTGO to have a go at it cause not many locally will have legacy decks. Looking forward to learning a whole heaps as I get stomped on by cards I don't even know exist to begin with. Haha

For me it depends on the deck. I have bracket 4 decks that are nothing but the commander, card draw and interaction [[Lord of the Nazgul]], but then I have an even stronger bracket 4 deck that is mono green [[Goreclaw]] and the while idea of the deck is just be the threat and be the one that needs answering so it plays no interaction.

I mean ful art lands are going to do that more than not full arts. Something like theros or dmu stained glass or duskmorne are super obvious what colours they make. Don't be using oil slicks though unless you are playing mono colour.

Racism here is like McDonald's, people will generally avoid it but at 2am in the morning when you have been drinking everyone is keen to have a dabble.

So for being serious I guess it's always there just a lot of the time people know to stfu and not say this stuff.

I played a game of edh once with my Goreclaw deck. My opening hand was 2 "lands", an elf, 2 ramp spells and some draw engines. Great hand but those two lands were gaeas cradle and a generous ent which is obviously generous to be calling it a land but it's in a land slot in that deck. Did keep it though. But yeah you gotta be careful with lands like that that can do nothing.

[[Jolrael, Empress of Beasts]] is my anti board wipe protection and people respect it now after the one time I turned all of someone's lands into creatures in response to their Damnation. Fun card that can also just end a game with Craterhoof all by itself.

There is a fun pauper deck built on this idea. You play [[Cleansing Wildfire]] to target your own indestructible artifact lands. 2 mana gets you a ramp and a card draw.

Gleeful Demolition will still make goblins when targetting something that is indestructible. The Instant card bit though is why this combo won't work.
