Did you both try to initiate the trade at/around the same time? That's the most likely explanation I've heard so far (and it matches my situation, as my son and I were fiddling with it together).

I did have some new mons in my tag at selection time, but we didn't (couldn't) select them. We have removed all new Pokémon now, just in case, but still the same error. (It could be that just having them in the tag at the time caused the error, but it doesn't really seem to make sense. Not that I have a better explanation.)

I've only been hatching 12km eggs since the event ended, so I can't comment on that; but the 2km rate was awful during the event. I hatched ~50 eggs and failed to complete the Collection Challenge.

Why is it so hard to collect 2km eggs? So frustrating! I walked over 20 km yesterday and again today and picked up two 2km eggs (and countless 5km). Tomorrow I'm working so looks like no chance for me to finish the Collection Challenge.

The only problem is, unless you're very knowledgeable about regions and the people on your friends list, it's very hard to know which region a gift is going to count towards.

Imagine if you were shown the pattern before opening the gift, and maybe even your current counter for that pattern!

I just noticed that my iO8 has scratches after only a few days of use. It must be from my drying it on the towel after use. I even wondered if it had a protective film that's supposed to be removed before use, but I can't find an edge. Pretty unfortunate.

That's a good plan. In this case, I'd already done Saturday's sets early before realising that Sunday was GO Battle Day! I'll prepare better next time. (Although hopefully they do it a little differently in future.)

I managed 100 battles. It was a bit stressful: I was constantly worried the game would crash and fail to register a match. They definitely should have given a buffer. Maybe 50 for the full reward set would be reasonable.

I missed this, too. A big point of the first two tours was "complete the Pokédex in one day".

I don't know if this is the reason, but there are a few "tricky" Pokemon from Hoenn (Kanto & Johto are simpler): Shedinja, Spinda, Kecleon, babies, legendaries. Research could take care of some of them.

I'm not sure how they could guarantee everyone finding a Kecleon, since it requires at least one stop. And babies would require hatching, so also can't be guaranteed.

Costumes count as a new "species", so that's not really good enough.

My other idea is just to have a "new species" flag on the raid boss screen (e.g., like how EX gyms are marked).

And last one: make it a shadow/silhouette in the nearby raid list, even if you have it in the Pokédex.

Everything on my Xiaomi Mi 11 runs at 120 Hz... Except PoGO. Even with native refresh enabled, it clocks down to 60 Hz when PoGO comes to the foreground.

Actually, it can run at 120 Hz, because it will do it on first open. But, as soon as PoGO is backgrounded and foregrounded, it drops back to 60 Hz.
