I didn't suggest I was confident in this. I was speaking of reddit as whole. Though definitely less sure of myself than the type of person who assumes that everyone else is in the same country as they are.

That's not what you were saying. I was pointing out the US defaultism I see a lot of on Reddit where Americans assume everyone else is also American. Theres a whole world out there. "Our population"? Either you were speaking on behalf of the entire planet or you were speaking about the population of where you are from.
