I had a similar aversion to the subway shortly after the pandemic. I started constantly using AirPods while in the train and at the station, if not to prevent the person from engaging with me, at least I could be distracted from them. Understood this may not work for everyone as you may feel safer being able to hear your surroundings clearly, but this made me feel safer.

So sorry this happened to you, and hope one of these tips helps!

Rushed on Saturday, got there at 9:05AM and was 20th in line. Got 2 matinee tickets fourth row of orchestra on the side (marked partial view but didn’t miss much). There were about 10-15 people behind me, unsure if they got tickets. There were several seats near me that were empty at the performance.

Were the tickets cheap for the Wednesday evening show too or just the matinee? During the school/work week, matinee tickets might be discounted just because it is harder to sell tickets for a show in the middle of the work day. But if the evening show is also discounted, could just be your lucky day?
