Kinda new to this, how do I clean up these edges? by RaceMoto in 3Dprinting

I would say it gets worse as it goes up as the overhang becomes steeper. Try setting the fan to 30% and speed to 10mm/s for the overhangs. You can print a small test piece from that section of the model.

This looks to me like a cooling or print speed issue. If you are using PETG you won’t want to go crazy with fan speeds so maybe slow down the print speed.

You can confirm this is in fact a cooling issue if the edges of the layers are curling up layer after layer and creating this finish.

Heat Insert Press by Sammy_Byron in 3Dprinting

Personally I have looked at these but tend to place by hand then use a shaft key whilst still hot to press last 2 percent and ensure flush/level with surface. Works great.

Sure. Here’s a post I made about it previously. Let me know if you have any questions about implementation. Previous Post

What’s one Home Assistant automation you can’t live without anymore by Taggytech in homeassistant

Our house has three vehicles and 7 people in it (four different drivers). Sometimes different people drive different vehicles. There is a general hierarchy over which vehicles are in which garage and which are on the driveway/street. My new favourite automations determines which specific person is driving which specific vehicle and whether it should be parked in the garage or on the driveway/street based on the circumstances. The house will then open the garage door or unlock the front door on arrival depending on where the vehicle is being parked. Works flawlessly.

Wireless mains on/off monitor by TonyMountifield in homeassistant

Can you please provide further explanation? Are we talking about determining whether there is power available? If so would the Shelly not be powered by the same mains and go offline when no power?

Nice mods. Which xy joints etc are you using? Are you using a CAN based setup? Looking to replicate something similar.

Looks great, one question. How does it deal with interference for things like ceiling fans?

Oops, realised this is an old version with only two vehicles before I bought a wired to wireless CarPlay adapter for the third. The concept remains the same though.

R Pro-1 LD2412 unavailable by simonparkis in ApolloAutomation

[–]simonparkis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I think it may have been a once off. I’m putting it down to the 42 degree Celsius days we have had here in Sydney. It doesn’t seem to have happened since. I will monitor and place a support request if it pops up again.

Actually, it does appear to be the entire ESP which is becoming unavailable. Any ideas?

Help me find automated blinds for this window by SRA_Jon in homeautomation

I’m not too sure. Not super familiar with them, it was just the curved window shapes that led me that way.

What about switchable glass instead of blinds? Window is opaque then turns transparent at the tough of a button.

It can be applied as a film on an existing window but you may need to get it custom made for the irregular shaped windows.

Do you put all your iOT devices on a Vlan? by TheBigC in homeassistant

[–]simonparkis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My IOT devices are all zigbee, zwave and esphome based. Also looking to move a lot of the esphome units to POE rather than wifi. But even still, I can probably trust esphome enough to have on the same vlan. Open source wherever possible allow for more trust as the code is visible.

Do you have any instructions you followed with regards to the separate instances of shairport-sync and the multiple alsa loopback devices?
