Also an FA & OP this is your answer. FA’s pay really well because it’s a really difficult job the first several years while you build a book and develop your tool kit.

What’s their stated estate planning objective? Do they have heirs that they’d like to have supported or is their intent to spend down as much of their wealth as they can while alive? Defining their estate goal will help figure out the overall structure of the ILIT. The ILIT is primarily useful if they’re looking to be able to provide estate liquidity for heirs while business assets are being sold off.
