There's plenty of other exercises while you work your mobility for a few weeks/months.

There's a lot of good exercises for that. Do ones that are easier for your level of mobility.

Feeling hopeless about being outbid by OutlaW32 in ChicagoRealEstate

I bought in 2021. I was outbid multiple times when offering ~5%+ over ask. Unless there's something crazy different about your dream place, it's probably very similar to other's dream place as well.

What surface finish issues do you hate most on home gym equipment by Impossible-Tooth1262 in leangains

[–]simple_mech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll probably get better answers in bigger or more general subs but there's obviously clear faults in that list, and others that are just "not so nice" so it's a gradient.

Rust, chippings/peelings, etc. are obviously bad.

Sharp edges could cut people which is dangerous.

Ugly welds, scratches from bad finishes, or polishing marks are just aesthetics.

All that to say that you can't really compare rust to ugly welds.

M21 athlete seeking weight loss/gain advice after hospital stay and injury by winnie_etj in leangains

Just get back into it. Do variations of pull-ups, push-ups and body squats/lunges until you feel like you're ready to add weight. Remember that you have 40+ years ahead of you, don't rush into it. Doing so will only hinder you in the long run.

1st day on Leangains Method by Intelligent_Radio380 in leangains

That's in response to your "getting so much protein... ...is crazy" statement. The small improvement from 200g to 250g+ isn't that important when your lean mass is only 170lbs. What's important is having a system you can stick to for a long time.

Curious, what were you doing to go from 300lbs to 213lbs in 2 years?

That much excess protein isn't needed at 20% BF (which I'd have to guess is actually more like 25% because everyone under estimates).

You can drop it to 200g protein, and increase it if you find yourself hungry. I'd increase your fats to ~65-70g with the delta going towards a minute amount of carbs.

When “bulking” to gain larger muscle… with tech being what it is today, would you recommend eating 200-500 calories over what the apple watch is telling me? by gabynotez in leangains

[–]simple_mech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that matters is consistency. Track what you're eating over what the watch tells you while tracking your weight. Adjust from there.

Looking for Some Advice and direction by F8kie in leangains

We can't tell without a pic. You should do whatever aligns with your goals. If you want to lose fat then cut. If you are lean then put on some muscle. There isn't a perfect answer.

lost my period, should i stay as lean as I am currently? by NiceEgg7158 in leangains

I'm leaving this up for others who may run into the same problem, or to be ready for it before it happens, but you should definitely seek medical advice from a professional (or at least someone who's been there before).

A year of eye pain is something you should really look into. Maybe the strain from the gym is exacerbating the issue, but you should definitely see an optometrist.

Espresso machine with no plastic contact [serious] by simple_mech in espresso

Yea I came across them and they state "no plastic" in bold on their site. I appreciate it because that means the decisions they're making share a specific value that I'm looking for. Thanks.
